ROBBERIES

ROUTE 2/4, 8:20 p.m. Aug. 7. A man stole a purse from a woman, 57, while she was pushing a shopping cart in the Safeway parking lot. The man fled in a Ford Bronco or Chevy Blazer driven by a woman.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CHESAPEAKE BEACH RD. WEST, 3:07 p.m. July 26. An attempt was made to enter a residence.

VEHICLE THEFTS

LEXINGTON DR., 12:56 a.m. July 26. A 2001 Honda CBR 600 motorcycle was stolen from the parking lot of Thursday's Bar & Grill.

LOWER MARLBORO RD., 3 p.m. July 30. Several items were stolen from a residence.

Lusby Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BAFFORD RD., July 20. A pit bull puppy was stolen from a residence. A person was seen leaving the scene in a black Chrysler Sebring.

GREGG DR., July 30. A Kenwood cassette player, a Jensen marine radio/stereo, and four rods and reels were stolen from two boats.

H.G. TRUEMAN RD., 4:54 p.m. July 19. A riding lawn mower was stolen from the parish hall at Middleham Chapel.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

GRENADA LANE, 7:51 p.m. July 19. Sugar was poured into a vehicle's gas tank.

North Beach Area

ROBBERIES

BAY AVE. AND SEVENTH ST. , July 25. A woman preparing to deposit an envelope of money into a night deposit box was pushed to the ground and robbed of the envelope.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

SIXTH ST., 5:09 p.m. July 23. A man, 38, driving a vehicle with stolen license plates was charged with theft, driving on a suspended license and driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

CHESAPEAKE AVE., 6:41 p.m. July 22. The oil line on a boat was cut.

Owings Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CHANEYVILLE RD., 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 30. An electric guitar, an amplifier, a Minolta camera, a boombox, prescription drugs, binoculars and a camcorder were stolen from a residence.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

BLUEGRASS WAY, 6:30 a.m. July 26. A residence and a vehicle were spray-painted.

MOUNT HARMONY LANE, July 15. Two men, 22 and 25, burned two mailboxes. They were charged with malicious destruction of property and second-degree malicious burning.

Prince Frederick Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CALVERT TOWNE DR., 5:30 p.m. July 26. A purse was stolen from a vehicle parked at a residence.

SIXES RD., 1:20 a.m. Aug. 1. A man, 22, broke the windshield of a vehicle parked at the American Legion post. He was charged with destruction of property and driving while intoxicated.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

MATTHEW'S RD., 8000 block, midnight to 2:30 a.m. Aug. 6. A Ford Expedition was stolen from JC's Outboard & Marine Service. The vehicle was used in the theft of two vending machines from Speedy Clean Car Wash. The machines were taken to a shed at Burch Oil Co. and emptied of their cash.

RIVER RD., 5900 block, 6:30 p.m. Aug. 3 to 5:10 a.m. Aug. 4. Two Honda all-terrain vehicles and a Kawasaki all-terrain vehicle were stolen from a garage.

Hughesville Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

LEONARDTOWN RD., 7700 block, 6 p.m. Aug. 1 to 8 a.m. Aug. 2. Property was stolen from four vehicles parked in a locked, fenced lot at Everything Amish. The front tires and wheel covers were removed from a fifth vehicle.

PRINCE FREDERICK RD., 17000 block, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Aug. 5. A BB pistol was stolen from a residence.

Indian Head Area

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

POPLAR LANE, 10 p.m. Aug. 1 to 6 a.m. Aug. 2. Windows of two vehicles were broken.

Waldorf Area

CARJACKINGS

LEONARDTOWN AND POST OFFICE RDS., 8:14 p.m. Aug. 3. Two men, ages 18 and 23, ordered another man out of a vehicle and fled. They were charged with carjacking, motor vehicle theft and theft over $500.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

DARTMOUTH RD., 1000 block, 3 p.m. Aug. 6. A man, 56, with stolen license plates on his vehicle and a third stolen plate inside the vehicle, was charged with theft under $500 and numerous traffic charges.

HOLLY AVE., 9000 block, 2:30 p.m. Aug. 7. A boy, 14, and a girl, 15, attempted to enter two residences. They were charged with two counts of attempted burglary and one count of destruction of property under $500.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

VILLAGE ST., 50 block, July 15 to Aug. 4. Graffiti was spray-painted on a rear wall of P.D. Brown library.

VANDALISM

ELM ST., 4000 block, 4:15 to 6 p.m. Aug. 8. Racist graffiti were scratched into the paint of a vehicle parked at a residence.

VEHICLE THEFTS

GRANTHAM CT., 2400 block, 11 p.m. Aug. 4 to 7 a.m. Aug. 5. A 2000 blue-and-white Suzuki GSXR-750 motorcycle was stolen from a residence.

HUNT PL., 2600 block, Aug. 4-5. A 1987 gray Oldsmobile Cutlass was stolen.

CALIFORNIA, Aug. 6. A wallet and a Doberman pinscher were stolen from a vehicle.

ROUTE 5, 5:15 p.m. A woman, 19, assaulted a girl, 17, at a Texaco gas station. She was charged with second-degree assault.

Great Mills Area

ASSAULTS

BOYNE CT., Aug. 5. Two women, 39 and 42, assaulted each other at a residence. They were charged with second-degree assault.

Hollywood Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ROUTE 235, 12:52 a.m. Aug. 8. A man, 29, with a stolen license plate on his vehicle, was charged with theft under $500 and numerous traffic violations.

Leonardtown Area

ASSAULTS

LEONARDTOWN, Aug. 5. A woman, 28, and a man, 33, assaulted each other at a residence. They were charged with second-degree assault.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

POINT LOOKOUT RD., 5 p.m. July 28 to 5:11 p.m. July 29. A rear bumper was stolen from a 2004 Ford F250 truck.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

DEERWOOD PARK DR., 2:45 a.m. Aug. 10. Two males damaged mailboxes as they drove a vehicle through the Chestnut Hills subdivision. They were charged with nine counts of malicious destruction of property.

LEONARDTOWN, Aug. 7. A window of a vehicle parked at the Dash-In was broken.

Mechanicsville Area

ASSAULTS

OLD HORSE LANDING RD., 10:54 p.m. Aug. 7. A man, 41, assaulted a woman, 42, at a residence. He was charged with second-degree assault.

Morganza Area

ASSAULTS

MORGANZA, Aug. 8. A man, 30, assaulted a deputy who was investigating a stolen vehicle case. The man was charged with second-degree assault and resisting arrest.
