The Montgomery County Association for Family and Community Education, which promotes educational programs and community outreach projects, needs volunteers to make blankets for sick and needy children from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Agricultural History Farm Park, 18410 Muncaster Rd., Derwood. The Montgomery County Humane Society seeks volunteers who are willing to provide a foster home for an animal until a permanent home can be located. Volunteers may choose the pet, attend adoption events and receive reimbursement for pet advertising expenses. The Montgomery Volunteer Dental Clinic, which provides general dentistry to uninsured, homeless and low-income Montgomery County residents between ages 19 and 59, needs dentists, hygienists, dental assistants and office personnel to work at Silver Spring and Germantown facilities. The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services needs volunteers to work with the Victim Assistance and Sexual Assault Program. Volunteers must attend a training session next month and make a commitment to serve for one year in an on-call capacity for one 12-hour shift or two six-hour shifts per week.
