Photography Show in Reston

The darkroom at the Reston Community Center is sponsoring a photographers' group show Sept. 1-30 with the theme "The Timeless Beauty of Photography."

Sponsors said the photographs were selected to create "the enchanting and mysterious quality of a waking dream."

The show includes works by the community center's darkroom photographers, some as young as 10.

Their level of experience ranges from beginner to professional, and their choice of subjects and techniques also is varied.

The center has one of the area's few public photography labs and offers black-and-white and color film developing. Reservations are required; the fee is $7 for people who live and work in Reston and $9 for others.

For more information, call 703-476-4500. The center is at 2310 Colts Neck Rd.
