HOMICIDES

10TH STREET AND MARYLAND AVENUE, 3:04 a.m. Aug. 7. Harry Baker IV, 28, of the 5700 block of J Street, Fairmont Heights, was found on a street with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Howard University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:28 a.m.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

SIXTH ST., 2:30 a.m. Aug. 11. A male sexually assaulted a female acquaintance in a residence.

ROBBERIES

BENNING RD., 3400 block, 3:54 p.m. Aug. 6. Two people assaulted a female cashier at a convenience store.

EASTERN AVE., 900 block, 3:06 to 3:10 p.m. Aug. 9. While a male was unloading property from his pickup truck, a male got into the vehicle and drove away while the owner was hanging onto the side of the vehicle. No further information was available from police.

FORT LINCOLN DR. AND SUMMIT CT., 1:20 p.m. Aug. 11. Two males got out of a vehicle, assaulted a male pedestrian and robbed him of property.

G ST., 200 block, 11:25 p.m. Aug. 7. Two males robbed a person of a wallet containing cash and credit cards.

M ST., 200 block, 8:24 a.m. Aug. 11. A pedestrian was sprayed from a vehicle with an unidentified substance. No further information was provided by police.

MONROE ST., 900 block, 9:50 p.m. Aug. 10. A male snatched a purse containing cash from a female pedestrian.

NANNIE HELEN BURROUGHS AVE., 4200 block, 10 to 10:03 p.m. Aug. 9. A male assaulted a female pedestrian and robbed her of a purse.

NANNIE HELEN BURROUGHS AVE., 4300 block, 10 to 10:04 p.m. Aug. 12. A male broke the passenger window of a female driver's vehicle, reached inside and took a purse and a cell phone.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 6200 block, 11:50 a.m. Aug. 10. A male posing as an inspector entered a service station, then showed a gun and demanded cash. An employee complied, and the robber fled with cash and cigarettes.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1500 block, 1:56 p.m. Aug. 12. A female took cash from a restaurant after threatening a female employee.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1900 block, 8:45 to 8:50 p.m. Aug. 12. A female demanded cash from a female cashier at a convenience store, then fled when a witness with a baseball bat intervened.

T ST., 1-99 block, 12:45 to 1:30 a.m. Aug. 8. Three males robbed a person of jewelry, a cell phone and a wallet.

57TH PL., 200 block, 3:15 to 3:45 p.m. Aug. 12. Two TVs, DVDs, CDs, a checkbook and a bicycle were stolen from a residence by a male who entered by forcing a kitchen window. He fled in a vehicle.

HOMICIDES

CRITTENDON ST., 900 block, 5:30 a.m. Aug. 10. Sean Carter, 31, of the 1200 block of Holbrook Terrace NE, was found on a street with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Washington Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead at 7:30 a.m.

WISCONSIN AVE., 3200 block, 2:45 a.m. Aug. 7. Keith Marcus Watson, 32, of the 900 block of Gracious End Court, Columbia, was found on a sidewalk with a stab wound to the chest. He was taken to George Washington University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:23 a.m.

14TH ST., 3800 block, 4 a.m. Aug. 11. Alphonso LaBoard, 19, of the 1500 block of Upshur Street NW, was found in an apartment building lobby with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office, where he was pronounced dead at 6 a.m.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

FLORIDA AVE., 2:40 p.m. Aug. 9. A man entered a female's house through an unlocked window and raped her, then fled with cash and credit cards.

RESERVOIR RD., 3800 block, 3:20 to 6 a.m. Aug. 9. A male fondled a female patient's breast in a hospital emergency room.

ROBBERIES

C ST., 1-99 block, 11:50 p.m. Aug. 7. A robbery occurred on the street. No further information was provided by police.

DECATUR ST., 1600 block, 10:20 p.m. Aug. 8. Two men were involved in a robbery on the sidewalk. A license, a checkbook, a purse, a wallet and four credit cards were taken.

FAIRMONT ST., 1300 block, 10 p.m. Aug. 10. A man with a knife scratched a pedestrian and took a watch, a necklace, a ring and earrings.

FLORIDA AVE., 1300 block, 8:42 to 8:43 p.m. Aug. 7. A robbery occurred at a specialty store.

FORT STEVENS DR., 1400 block, 9 p.m. Aug. 8. Two males approached a 44-year-old woman from behind on the sidewalk and fled with her purse.

G ST., 1400 block, 3:45 a.m. Aug. 12. A male told a driver, "I need your car and I have a gun." The driver complied, and the robber fled in the car with another male.

GEORGIA AVE., 4800 block, 11:45 p.m. Aug. 9. Two males robbed a convenience store, during which someone was hit in the head with a metal object. No further information was provided by police.

HOLMEAD AND OTIS PLACES, 12:10 p.m. Aug. 11. A male teenager asked a driver whether he was selling his car. The driver said yes. The teenager asked for a pen, then robbed the driver of a gold necklace at gunpoint.

ILLINOIS AVE., 5200 block, 4:20 a.m. Aug. 12. A man robbed a 40-year-old woman of a hip pack at gunpoint and fled in a vehicle.

K ST., 1500 block, 10:10 to 10:20 a.m. Aug. 6. A man was involved in a robbery at a bank. No further information was provided.

LANIER PL., 1600 block, 2 a.m. Aug. 9. An armed woman robbed a pedestrian of a purse and fled with another woman.

LONGFELLOW ST., 1300 block, 5:05 p.m. Aug. 12. A male whose face was covered by a hooded jacket snatched a purse from a 65-year-old female pedestrian.

M ST., 1000 block, 12:37 a.m. Aug. 11. Two males beat a male pedestrian and took cash, credit cards, a phone and a wallet.

MORRISON ST., 3600 block, 2:15 p.m. Aug. 12. A male teenager and two men beat a male pedestrian and fled with a wallet.

NEW JERSEY AVE., 1300 block, noon Aug. 8. A bicyclist was knocked off his mountain bike with a piece of lumber. The bike was taken.

NEW YORK AVE., 1-99 block, 4 p.m. Aug. 10. A man gave a male pedestrian a hug while a female teenager took cash and a payroll check from the pedestrian's pocket.

T ST., 1300 block, 1:05 to 1:08 a.m. Aug. 12. Three males followed a pedestrian and told him to give up his money. One hit him in the face. An ID folder was taken.

WEBSTER ST., 800 block, 12:12 a.m. Aug. 11. Two men robbed a 38-year-old male pedestrian. One ordered him to the ground at gunpoint while the other took property from his pockets.

WISCONSIN AVE., 5300 block, 2:35 p.m. Aug. 10. On an escalator in a store, a male took a male customer's wallet while an accomplice bent in front of the customer, complaining of a leg cramp.

NINTH ST., 2400 block, 11:08 p.m. Aug. 11. A pedestrian was beaten and robbed by six males, one of whom used a baseball bat. The victim was taken to a hospital.

11TH ST., 2300 block, 3:10 a.m. Aug. 5. A man accompanied by another man said, "What's up, son?" to a bicyclist, who then felt something hit him in the head. The man then chased the bicyclist with a knife. No further information was provided by police.

WARREN ST., 3800 block, 10 a.m. Aug. 4 to 2 p.m. Aug. 11. A female knocked on a door of a home and asked a resident for paper to write a note. She entered the home, wrote the note, then left. The resident later noticed jewelry had been taken.

WISCONSIN AVE., 4200 block, 2:30 to 2:32 a.m. Aug. 6. A break-in occurred at a restaurant.

FOURTH ST., 1500 block, 11:13 a.m. Aug. 9. A man was found hiding in a closet of a home and walked out a rear door with a bottle of perfume. A resident stopped him. A man, 46, was arrested.
