Columbia Area


MURRAY HILL RD., 7600 block, 11:03 p.m. Aug. 21. A male approached two occupants sitting in a vehicle and eating. He opened the driver's door, lifted his shirt, revealing a silver handgun in his waistband, and ordered the occupants to empty their pockets. The motorists complied and a second person approached the passenger side of the vehicle and took a purse. The occupants were robbed of cash, a cell phone and IDs. A third person was seen standing behind the vehicle.

RIVERS RD., 10400 block, 11:59 p.m. Aug. 21. A male entered a pizza shop through a back door by force at the close of business, took cash and receipts, and fled.


ALEXANDER BELL DR., 6000 block, 5:30 to 9:20 p.m. Aug. 18. A side door of a business was forced open. Nothing was reported stolen.

BROKEN LAND PKWY., 9000 block, 10:52 to 10:56 p.m. Aug. 23. A laptop computer and a projector were stolen from an office at a business entered by bypassing a security door and entering the office by force.

BROKEN LAND PKWY., 9800 block, 7:30 p.m. Aug. 20 to 8:30 a.m. Aug. 21. An attempt was made to enter a business by forcing a side door.

ELIOTS OAK RD., 5000 block, 1:30 to 7 a.m. Aug. 21. A motorcycle, a power-washer and tools were stolen from a residential garage entered by forcing a rear door.

MINSTREL WAY, 7100 block, 5 p.m. Aug. 20 to 6:30 a.m. Aug. 23. An office building was entered through an unlocked door. An office was entered by forcing a door. Nothing was reported stolen.

MOVING WATER LANE, 9000 block, 8 to 9:15 p.m. Aug. 21. A residence was entered using a key kept under a doormat. Nothing was reported stolen.

ROUTE 175, 6600 block, Aug. 18 to 7:56 a.m. Aug. 21. A mobile home was entered by kicking a screen door and forcing a door. Nothing was reported stolen.

SHORT WHEEL WAY, 6300 block, 1 to 1:32 p.m. Aug. 23. A bicycle was stolen from an open garage.

STEVENS FOREST RD., 5700 block, 3:25 a.m. Aug. 16. Residents awakened by noise saw a male attempting to enter the residence through a window that had been forced open and a second person shining a flashlight into the residence. Both burglars fled.

WOODENHAWK CIR., 5400 block, Aug. 18 to 2:14 a.m. Aug. 23. Food and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered through a pet door.


QUIET HOURS, 6500 block, 6:59 a.m. Aug. 24. An attempt was made was made to steal a 1996 Chevrolet Caprice.

Elkridge Area


FOREST AND ATHOL AVENUES, 10:23 p.m. Aug. 22. Two people in a park pulled out handguns and robbed three youths of their wallets.


OLD WATERLOO RD., 6500 block, 4:24 a.m. Aug. 25. Cigarettes and cigars were stolen from a business entered by smashing a front door.

OLD WATERLOO RD., 6800 block, 10:50 p.m. Aug. 21 to 4:45 p.m. Aug. 22. Cash was stolen from a ground-floor apartment entered through an unlocked window.

TRI CROSS DR., 5600 block, 3:30 p.m. Aug. 21 to 12:20 a.m. Aug. 22. Coins were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a front door.

Ellicott City Area


BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE, 9400 block, 6:10 p.m. Aug. 21 to 7:10 a.m. Aug. 22. Cash was stolen from a register at a business entered by breaking a front door glass.

BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE, 10000 block, 5:30 p.m. Aug. 17 to 7 a.m. Aug. 18. An attempt was made to enter a business through a gate by unsuccessfully forcing a lock.

MONTGOMERY RD., 4800 block, 10:45 to 10:58 p.m. Aug. 23. Two males in a convenience store demanded cash from employees. The robbers implied they had a weapon. One of the employees was assaulted and forced behind a counter. The robbers took cash from a register.

MOUNT HEBRON DR., 2000 block, 11:46 p.m. Aug. 15. A resident awaken by the sound of a residential alarm arose to investigate and found nothing missing. On the following day, the resident found pry marks on a back door.

MOUNT IDA DR., 3600 block, noon Aug. 17 to 9:40 a.m. Aug. 21. A residence was entered through the back and ransacked.


WATERLOO RD., 5400 block, 10:09 p.m. Aug. 23. A green 2004 Mercury Sable was stolen.

Highland Area


CLARKSVILLE PIKE, 13400 block, 3:28 a.m. Aug. 21. Cigarettes were stolen from a business entered by shattering a front door.

Jessup Area


GUILFORD RD., 10100 block, 12:34 p.m. Aug. 18. A go-kart was stolen from a residential garage.


MONTEVIDEO RD., 7300 block, 11:46 p.m. Aug. 18. A male was seen inside a vehicle. The intruder fled to a pickup truck when he was noticed.

Laurel Area


FULTON AVE., 9500 block, 8 a.m. to 6:20 p.m. Aug. 23. Coins were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked basement side window.

JOHNS HOPKINS RD., 10900 block, 3:12 a.m. Aug. 21. Cash was stolen from a gas station entered by shattering a front door.

LAUREL RD. N., 10000 block, 6 p.m. Aug. 17 to 9:15 a.m. Aug. 18. An unoccupied mobile home was entered and slept in. Nothing was reported stolen.

SCAGGSVILLE RD., 11800 block, 6 p.m. Aug. 21 to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 22. An attempt was made to enter a business by forcing a door.

ULSTER DR., 9400 block, 9:15 a.m. Aug. 7 to 5:10 p.m. Aug. 21. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered through a basement door.

WHISKEY BOTTOM RD., 9100 block, 6 p.m. Aug. 20 to 9:15 a.m. Aug. 21. The front door glass at a business was broken. Nothing was reported stolen.


FREESTATE DR., 8800 block, 3:40 p.m. Aug. 20. A 2001 Honda Accord was stolen.

WASHINGTON BLVD., 10000 block, 11:27 a.m. Aug. 21. A maroon 2001 Dodge Caravan was stolen.

Marriottsville Area


WARWICK WAY, 2200 block, noon to 12:15 p.m. Aug. 20. A black 2004 Freedom scooter was stolen.

Savage Area


FAIR ST., 8000 block, 6 to 8:12 p.m. Aug. 23. A black 1996 Honda Civic was stolen.

STORCH WOODS DR., 8500 block, 11:18 a.m. Aug. 20. A red 1999 Suzuki TL1000X motorcycle was stolen.

Woodstock Area


WOODSTOCK RD., 1400 block, 11 p.m. Aug. 23 to 4:30 a.m. Aug. 24. A residence was entered by removing an air-conditioning unit from a first-floor bedroom window. Nothing was reported missing.
