WASHINGTON AVE., 2800 block, Aug. 21. A woman, 38, of no fixed address, was charged Aug. 21 with murder in connection with an incident at the above location.

ASSAULTS

RIVER ROAD AND WESTERN AVENUE, 12:30 a.m. Aug. 17. An Ijamsville woman, 40, was charged Aug. 17 with first-degree assault, fugitive from justice, fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest and reckless driving in connection with an incident that started in Washington and ended at the above location.

STRATHMORE ST., 6900 block, 9:30 p.m. Aug. 13 and 3:30 a.m. Aug. 14. A man made a sexually offensive remark to a Chevy Chase female pedestrian, 21. The next morning, the man accosted the woman and grabbed her breast. The woman fled.

ROBBERIES

STEVENSON AND SCENERY DRIVES, 8:30 p.m. Aug. 16. Three males armed with knives accosted a Gaithersburg man, 19, dragged him behind a townhouse, kicked him and removed his clothes and a wallet, then robbed him of cash.

GAITHERSBURG AREA, Aug. 5. A Gaithersburg man, 55, raped a girl, 7 and a Gaithersburg man, 20, sexually assaulted a girl, 4, at a residence.

GAITHERSBURG AREA, 9:30 a.m. Aug. 11. A male driver touched the breasts and inner thigh area of a female passenger, 27, of Gaithersburg.

ROBBERIES

HONEYLOCUST CIR., 10:10 p.m. Aug. 16. A male accosted two Gaithersburg women, age 21, and implied he was armed with a knife. One of the women screamed and dropped her purse, and the robber picked it up and fled.

BOWSPRIT CT., 100 block, 7:25 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 13. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing a door.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

BOILING BROOK PARKWAY, 4 p.m. Aug. 16. A man got out of a vehicle, lifted his shirt and exposed himself to a Rockville girl sitting on steps in front of a residence. The man then fled.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

SILVER SPRING AREA, Aug. 9. A man met a Rockville woman, 19, took her to a hotel where she was raped.

SILVER SPRING AREA, Aug. 10. A Silver Spring man, 55, sexually assaulted a girl, 16, at a residence.

ASSAULTS

FLOWER AVE., 8700 block, 7:20 p.m. Aug. 23. Police responded to a report of a stabbing and found a man with a cut on his right arm. The man, 24, of no fixed address, was taken to Holy Cross Hospital for treatment.

ROBBERIES

CASTLE BLVD., 13900 block, 10:53 p.m. Aug. 17. Four or five boys jumped a Silver Spring man, 20, and a Frederick man, 20, and one of the boys struck one of the men with an object and robbed him of a wallet, a cell phone and a knife. The other man was robbed of cash.

GATESHEAD MANOR WAY, 3400 block, 9:04 p.m. Aug. 18. A male accosted a Silver Spring woman, 24, pulled on her purse and two more males began to pull on her backpack. The first male grabbed the woman's purse and fled with the others.

JANET ROAD AND GEORGIA AVENUE, 11:25 p.m. Aug. 13. A vehicle occupied by two males struck the back of the car of a store deliveryman and when the vehicles stopped, a male passenger with a gun approached the deliveryman and robbed him of cash from the store and a wallet containing cash.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 13400 block, 3 a.m. Aug. 20. A man in a store implied he was armed with a gun and threatened to kill a cashier, then robbed the store of cash.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 9000 block, 10 p.m. Aug. 13. Three males punched a Silver Spring man, 41, and grabbed his wallet. The man shouted for police, and a robber dropped the wallet and all three fled.

CASTLE BLVD., 13800 block, 9:30 a.m. Aug. 9 to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 16. A DVD player, a video game system and clothing were stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a door.
