AMISH 100: Races to be held Oct. 2 starting on the campus of St. Mary's College of Maryland. Races of 100 miles, 72 miles, 48 miles and 28 miles are planned. THE 9TH ANNUAL NORTH BEACH 5K RUN AND 1 MILE FUN WALK: Will be held Sept 18. The race will start and finish on the boardwalk in North Beach, Maryland. RACEWALK CLINIC: To be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 2 and 3 at the Calvert High School track. The clinic will be led by Dave McGovern, a member of the USA Track & Field national racewalking team. The focus of the clinic will be learning how to walk faster using the racewalk technique. There will also be classroom sessions on nutrition, proper form and effective training strategies.
