AARP Applauds Firm
The AARP named Loudoun Healthcare Inc. one of the 35 best employers in the United States for workers over 50.
Companies were evaluated based on recruitment practices, opportunities for advancement, flexible work schedules and benefits for current and retired workers.
More than 25 percent of Loudoun Healthcare's employees are older than 50.
Airlie Gets Green Seal
The Airlie Foundation and Conference Center in Warrenton received the "Green Seal" certification from the organization of the same name, becoming one of only 40 facilities nationwide to receive this distinction.
Green Seal is a private, not-for-profit organization that recognizes products and services that demonstrate a commitment to the environment. Airlie's recent environmental initiatives include installing a greenhouse to extend the season of its organic culinary garden and introducing election registration on its Web site to reduce paper waste.
Chamber Mixer Sept. 16
The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly after-hours mixer from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sept. 16 at Hampton Inn & Suites, 117 Fort Evans Rd., Leesburg.

4 Buyer/Seller Sessions
Four Loudoun County Procurement Division buyer/seller information exchange sessions will be held to give area businesses the opportunity to meet the county's procurement staff and become familiar with the procurement process.
They will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 16; 10:30 a.m. Oct. 12; 2 p.m. Nov. 17; and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 14. The sessions are held in the Lovettsville Room on the first floor of the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison St. SE, Leesburg.
