ROBBERIES

TROTTER RD. S., 6600 block, 12:29 a.m. Aug. 26. Police responded to an alarm at an elementary school and saw two people fleeing from the school. A K-9 police dog help locate two males in the backyard of a residence nearby. Four men age 18 and a 17-year-old boy were arrested.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

TRAIL CREEK LANE, 6900 block, 9 p.m. Aug. 24 to 2:09 p.m. Aug. 25. A plasma TV and a portable radio were stolen from a residence entered by forcing an interior garage door.

Columbia Area

ASSAULTS

TURNABOUT LANE, 6100 block, 10:41 p.m. Aug. 31. Police responded to a report of a shooting in the area and found a male injured by a gunshot to his lower body. A short time later, a second male was found nearby in the 11000 block of Berry Pick Way suffering from a gunshot wound. Both males were flown to shock trauma for treatment of injuries. The case was continuing.

ROBBERIES

EDEN BROOK DR., 7200 block, 1:42 p.m. Aug. 29. A male in a gas station said he wanted to purchase a candy bar, then fled the gas station and later returned wearing a shirt around the head and chin. The male implied he had a weapon and robbed a clerk of cash from a register.

MINSTREL WAY, 7100 block, 11:15 p.m. Aug. 25. Two masked males armed with handguns outside a fast-food restaurant that had closed forced employees back inside and forced them into a walk-in refrigerator. The assailants then took a manager to an office and ordered the manager open a safe. The manager complied and the robbers took cash, placed it in duffle bags and fled.

TURNABOUT LANE, 5900 block, 10:33 p.m. Aug. 26. Two males wearing masks took a purse from a female and fled toward Cedar Lane.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

GREYSTONE CT., 8400 block, 11:30 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Aug. 29. A video game system was stolen from a bedroom at a residence entered by kicking a front door.

HICKORY RIDGE RD., 10800 block, 1:30 p.m. Aug. 28 to 10 a.m. Aug. 29. An office was entered by breaking a rear window.

LITTLE PATUXENT PKWY., 11300 block, 6:30 p.m. Aug. 27 to 10 a.m. Aug. 28. A TV was stolen from an office-clubhouse at an apartment complex.

MAJORS LANE, 6000 block, 1:26 p.m. Aug. 30. A set of speakers was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked door.

RIDGEVIEW DR., 9500 block, 10 p.m. Aug. 29. An attempt was made to enter a residential garage while a resident was inside the residence.

TAMAR DR., 8900 block, 10:52 a.m. Aug. 31. An attempt was made to enter two apartments by breaking doorknobs. The burglar fled when one of the residents came out of one of the apartments.

WOODWARD GARDENS, 4900 block, 2:43 p.m. Aug. 26. A bicycle was stolen from a residence.

GENTLE SHADE, 7000 block, 5:40 a.m. Sept. 1. A 2001 Honda motorcycle was stolen.

LITTLE PATUXENT PKWY., 10300 block, 8:13 p.m. Aug. 26. A gray-and-red 1996 Ford Windstar was stolen.

STEVENS FOREST RD., 5700 block, 1 to 6 a.m. Aug. 27. A black 1993 Honda Civic was stolen.

STEVENS FOREST RD., 5900 block, 11 p.m. Aug. 26 to 8:30 a.m. Aug. 27. An attempt was made to steal a white 1993 Honda Civic.

Elkridge Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

KANE AVE., 6000 block, 4 p.m. Aug. 24 to 6:30 a.m. Aug. 25. Fans, a ladder, saws and other equipment were stolen from a construction site.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

WASHINGTON BLVD., 5800 block, 3:05 p.m. Aug. 31. A white 1996 Dodge van was stolen.

Ellicott City Area

ROBBERIES

BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE, 9400 block, 10:26 p.m. Aug. 31. A male entered a pizza restaurant carrying a duffle bag and pointed a small black handgun at a male manager and ordered him to open a cash register and a safe. The manager complied. The robber took a cash register drawer and cash and placed them in the duffle bag and fled in a white vehicle. A patrol officer saw the vehicle near Rogers Avenue, called for assistance and attempted to make a traffic stop. The driver refused to stop and continued into Baltimore County. Baltimore County and City police offered assistance. The vehicle continued into Baltimore and the vehicle drifted into a parked car near Denison and Edmondson avenues. Two males fled from the vehicle. Two males, both age 31, were arrested. A cash register drawer and cash were recovered.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE, 8400 block, 7 p.m. Aug. 25 to 7:30 a.m. Aug. 26. An attempt was made to enter an animal hospital through a front door.

MERRYDELL RD., 200 block, 10 p.m. Aug. 24 to 8 a.m. Aug. 25. A swimming-and-tennis club was entered by cutting a hole in a surrounding fence. Property was damaged and a pool house was entered by breaking two windows. Nothing was reported stolen.

OLD COLUMBIA PIKE, 3900 block, 8 to 10 a.m. Aug. 30. Guitars, a camera, jewelry and a TV were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked basement door.

SPRUCE RUN CT., 8600 block, 1:34 p.m. Aug. 28. A female resident asleep on a sofa in the basement of a residence awoke and saw a male in the room. The male fled upstairs and out a front door. The residence was entered through a sliding back door that had been left open for a dog. Nothing was reported stolen.

TOWN AND COUNTRY BLVD., 9000 block, 11:30 p.m. Aug. 26 to 5 a.m. Aug. 27. A video game system and games were stolen from a residence.

NORMANDY WOODS DR., 3200 block, Aug. 28. A black 1993 Honda Civic was stolen.

ROBBERIES

GORMAN RD., 8800 block, 8:37 a.m. Aug. 31. A male in a parking lot placed a knife to a person's neck and took a purse containing cash.

WASHINGTON BLVD., 9900 block, 2:42 a.m. Aug. 28. A male in a hotel lobby asked about accommodation rates, left, then returned accompanied by two males and robbed a front-desk clerk of cash. The males implied they had weapons.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BRIDLE PATH, 9200 block, Aug. 28 or Aug. 29. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing a doorknob lock.

OLD COLUMBIA RD., 8400 block, 12:03 a.m. Aug. 29. Cash was stolen from a register at a business entered by breaking a front glass door.

THAMESMEADE RD., 9100 block, Aug. 28 to 12:34 p.m. Aug. 29. Two guns were stolen from a residence.

LIVERY LANE, 9200 block, 5:38 a.m. Aug. 27. A 2000 Honda Civic was stolen.

MONTPELIER RD., 7600 block, 3:04 p.m. Aug. 25. A 1995 BMW 325i was stolen.

ROUTE 144, 12700 block, 9:34 p.m. Aug. 30. A male in a convenience store pulled a white bandana over his face, pulled out a small dark revolver and took cash from a register.

Woodbine Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

MCCANN FARM RD., 14700 block, Aug. 26 to 2:59 p.m. Aug. 30. Two mini motorbikes were stolen from an unlocked shed.
