What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"There is too much wrong with D.C. to fit into 100 words. Redevelopment of downtown D.C. is ground zero for many key issues Ward 2 faces: sustainability, affordable housing, transportation and security. In the eastern half, the urgent challenge is gentrification -- fostering development without displacement and ensuring that longtime residents can afford to remain in a neighborhood that has become so expensive. D.C. without full political equality is a cancer on American democracy. Do we want true equality or more Republicrat lip service? Two senators, a vote in the House and the autonomy other Americans take for granted -- nothing less."

Why should voters elect you?

"Genuine democracy begins at home. Poverty equals violence. I will end low expectations and malign neglect. Let's have fun and justice for all. Free D.C.!"
