What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"I will focus all my energy to the most important issue for D.C.: full voting rights and representation in Congress. We aren't different from any other Americans. We are law-abiding citizens, paying our taxes, serving our country, taking care of our children, our elderly, our family members, our friends and our disadvantaged. We work and play like all Americans. We have the same American needs and problems: affordable housing, efficient government services, economic opportunities, safety needs and good education opportunities. Yet, we don't have full recourse to meet our needs because we aren't fully represented in Congress."

Why should voters elect you?

"I will shout our voting rights needs on the radio, TV and Internet."

Age: 65

Residence: Chevy Chase.

Education: Completed course work in physical education, University of Maryland.

Occupation: Shadow representative.

Elected offices/civic activities: Shadow U.S. representative, 2001-present; ANC commissioner,

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"The most urgent problem facing our city is the lack of representation in the Congress. Because we have no vote, we suffer from a financial imbalance caused by the federal government's presence in our city and its control over our

budget, our legislation and our courts."

Why should voters elect you?

"In the two terms I have served, our office has gained formal support from elected officals across the country and taken that support to Congress."
