A variety of dance styles will be presented at Joe's Movement Emporium on Saturday during a workshop by the Coyaba Dance Theater. The youth ensemble of the local West African dance and music group will perform and then teach modern dance, tap, West African dance, ballet and jazz steps, as well as drumming. All ages are welcome. The county will kick off Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15) with a festival Sunday at Lane Manor Park in Adelphi. The 23rd annual Fiesta Hispano will feature live music, food, carnival games, children's rides, crafts, pony rides, face painting, soccer games, art displays and exhibitions. The festival, which is free, runs from noon to 6 p.m. Expanded parking will be available on the festival grounds, and a free shuttle will run from Langley Park McCormick Elementary School, at 15th Avenue and Merrimac Drive, to the University of Maryland's Parking Lot 1-D, at Campus Drive and Adelphi Road. A new exhibition at Harmony Hall Regional Center features ink paintings of waterfalls and glaciers, and Chinese calligraphy. Kit-Keung Kan's solo show "From the Brush of Kit-Keung Kan: American Landscapes and Chinese Calligraphy" incorporates Chinese classical painting and techniques from Western art traditions. The show runs through Oct. 31. An artist's reception will take place tomorrow from 5 to 7 p.m. at the center, 10701 Livingston Rd. in Fort Washington.
