Dog Reportedly Left on Balcony

ELLICOTT CITY, Wheaton Way, 3100 block, 8:10 a.m. Sept. 8. A dog was reportedly left on a second-story balcony at a residence day and night without shelter. Upon arrival at the residence, an animal control officer could not locate a dog on the balcony, and no one answered the door. A notice was posted for the owner to contact Animal Control to discuss the report. The case was continuing.

A Python in the Bushes

SAVAGE, Storch Woods Dr., 8800 block, 12:40 p.m. Sept. 8. A caller reported that a snake, apparently a pet, was in bushes near a residence. An animal control officer went to the address and found a healthy, young adult ball python on the property. The snake was impounded at the shelter. An owner was being sought.
