Boundary-Shift Sessions Set
Recommended changes to middle and high school district boundary lines will be outlined next week at two public sessions.
The first will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hammond High School, 8800 Guilford Rd., Columbia. The second will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Centennial High School, 4300 Centennial Lane, Ellicott City.
Proposed boundary line adjustments result primarily from the anticipated opening next year of Howard County's 12th high school, Marriotts Ridge on Marriottsville Road.
The recommendations will be presented to the Board of Education on Oct. 28 and be followed by public hearings and board work sessions in November.
The board is expected to vote Nov. 23 on changes for the 2005-06 school year.
