BEAUREGARD N. AND MORGAN N. STREETS, 11:17 p.m. Sept. 13 to 12:01 a.m. Sept. 14. A woman, 23, was approached from behind by a man, who grabbed her purse and fled on foot.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY., 3900 block, 2:15 p.m. Sept. 12. A woman, 59, was walking through a shopping center parking lot when a truck occupied by two men drove by slowly. The passenger reached out and grabbed the woman's purse, and the truck sped away.

MADISON ST., 800 block, 10:58 p.m. Sept. 12. Two men, one with a handgun, demanded money from a woman, 18, and a man, 23. The male victim ran away, and the woman gave up her purse. The robbers then fled on foot.

MASON AVE. E., 200 block, 1:45 a.m. Sept. 11. A gunman robbed a woman, 31, of money and fled on foot.


DUKE ST., 5400 block, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 9. Electronic equipment and a sword were stolen from a residence.

FLORENCE DR., 3800 block, 8 to 10 a.m. Sept. 14. Electronic equipment and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a window.

MADISON ST., 100 block, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 7 to 5:07 a.m. Sept. 8. Electronic equipment and power tools were stolen from a boathouse entered by forcing a garage door. Obscene language was spray-painted on one wall, and a crew boat was placed in the river.

YALE DR., 300 block, 8:15 a.m. Sept. 10. A black 1999 Jeep Cherokee, a 9mm gun, a holster and ammunition were stolen from a home entered by forcing a back door.


ARMISTEAD ST. N., 500 block, 4:10 p.m. Sept. 9 to 6 p.m. Sept 10. A red 1995 Honda Civic was stolen.

DUKE ST., 5800 block, 3:30 to 4:51 p.m. Sept. 15. A blue 1995 Honda Civic was stolen.

KENMORE AVE., 4700 block, 10 p.m. Sept. 10 to 9:15 a.m. Sept. 11. A black 1999 Ford Crown Victoria was stolen.

MOUNT VERNON AVE., 3100 block, 8 p.m. Sept. 8 to 6:20 a.m. Sept. 9. A red 2004 Toyota Tacoma was stolen.

OLD DOMINION BLVD., 3500 block, 3 a.m. Sept. 9 to 3:09 a.m. Sept 11. A silver 1989 Chevrolet pickup was stolen.

COLUMBIA PIKE, 4900 block, 3:59 p.m. Sept. 12. Two boys, 14, were walking behind an apartment building when they were approached by two men who accused them of throwing something at them. One man pushed one boy and grabbed his bandanna. When the men approached the other boy, the victims fled.

GEORGE MASON DR. S., 1400 block, 4 a.m. Sept. 15. A man, 27, was walking behind apartment buildings when he found three acquaintances. The man and the others argued, and two of the acquaintances held the man down while the third cut his cheek with a knife. The man was treated at a hospital and released.

FOURTH ST. N., 4300 block, 12:50 a.m. Sept. 14. Two men approached a male pedestrian, 29, and one hit him on the head with a large stick. The other punched him in the head. The two assailants fled before police arrived. Police found two suspects in a nearby apartment. A Woodbridge man, 22, and an Arlington man, 22, were charged with malicious wounding and held without bond in the Arlington County Detention Facility.


THOMAS ST. N., 300 block, 10:45 p.m. Sept. 11. A man spoke to a female pedestrian, 18. When the woman continued to walk, the man ran to her and reached under her skirt. The woman pushed him away and ran. The man caught her and again reached under her skirt. The woman screamed, drawing the attention of several bystanders. The witnesses chased the man, caught him and held him until police arrived. An Arlington man, 30, was arrested and charged with animate sexual penetration.


WILSON BLVD., 6100 block, 5:50 p.m. Sept. 11. A girl, 9, looked out her apartment window and saw a man watching her from another apartment. He was masturbating. The girl told her mother, who then looked. After seeing the woman, the man closed his blinds.


VEITCH ST. S., 2700 block, 1:07 a.m. Sept. 16. Two women in their early twenties were in their apartment when a neighbor noticed a man peeping into their windows. A man, 35, of no fixed address, was charged with peeping and held in lieu of a $1,500 bond at the Arlington County Detention Facility.


ARLINGTON BLVD., 1000 block, 10:14 p.m. Sept. 9. A woman, 20, was walking in a parking lot when a man pushed her to the ground and took her purse. Witnesses followed the man as he fled on foot. The man jumped from a parking deck, injuring his ankle. He was taken into custody by police and taken to a hospital. A Norfolk man, 37, was arrested.

COLUMBIA PIKE, 5500 block, 8:44 p.m. Sept. 14. Two masked men entered a gas station store, showed handguns and robbed a male employee, 31, of cash.

24TH RD. S., 2700 block, 12:40 a.m. Sept. 13. An off-duty Arlington police officer saw a man stealing a car. As the officer approached the vehicle on foot, another man shouted a warning to the thief and drove away. The first man then fled in the stolen vehicle. The officer followed in a police vehicle, and at Shirlington Road and South 24th Street, the thief accelerated, drove past a stop sign and was struck by the vehicle of another officer responding to the incident. A D.C. man, 26, was charged with eluding police and grand theft auto and was held in Arlington on $5,000 bond. D.C. police later arrested a second suspect, who was awaiting extradition to Arlington. A D.C. man, 19, was charged with eluding police, possession of stolen property and conspiracy to commit grand theft auto.


KEMPER RD., 3500 block, 7:30 to 10:43 a.m. Sept. 14. A video-game console, 10 video games, 20 DVDs and two pairs of sneakers were stolen from a residence entered through a window.

SOUTH FOUR MILE RUN DR., 4100 block, 1 a.m. Sept. 13 to 6:30 a.m. Sept. 14. A stereo, a CD, a computer and a razor were stolen from an apartment entered through a window.

WILSON BLVD., 4300 block, 6:40 to 6:59 a.m. Six laptop computers were stolen from an office suite.

SEVENTH ST. S., 3400 block, 5:30 a.m. Sept. 3 to 10 a.m. Sept. 15. A porch was entered through a window. Nothing was reported missing.

10TH PL. S., 5200 block, 10 p.m. Sept. 9 to 8 a.m. Sept. 11. Tools and a ladder were stolen from a residence under renovation.

26TH PL. S., 700 block, 10 a.m. Sept. 9 to 2 p.m. Sept. 13. Cash was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a window.

EADS ST. S., 1600 block. A 1992 Dodge Dakota was stolen.

GRANADA ST. N., 200 block. A silver 2001 Honda Civic was stolen.

PIERCE ST. S., 2100 block. A blue 1996 Oldsmobile 98 was stolen.

SOUTH FOUR MILE RUN DR., 4500 block. A dark green 1991 Honda Civic was stolen.

16TH ST. S., 2700 block. A brown 1995 Toyota Camry was stolen.

35TH ST. S., 4300 block. A black 1998 Jeep Wrangler was stolen.
