Best car I've ever had: Large Buick station wagon and white Alfa Romeo Spider I now have.

Favorite president: Ronald Reagan (R), because he was a great communicator and compromiser and was able to bring people together.

Favorite place to vacation: Garden City Beach, S.C.

Most interesting place I ever visited: Touring Poland and visiting family there. Also, Alaska, and Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks.

Impression people have of Fairfax County that I would most like to change: That Fairfax is a bedroom community with no sense of place.

Nobody knows I: Am an avid sports enthusiast -- I love to play golf and walk at the McLean High School track -- and in my spare time enjoy playing the piano.
