'Seagull' to Take Wing

Rep Stage, a professional theater company in residence at Howard Community College, opens the 2004-05 season with Tom Stoppard's adaptation of Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull." The play explores the meaning of love and art through the relationships of writers and actors whose lives intersect at a country estate. 8 p.m. Fridays, 2:30 and 8 p.m. Saturdays, 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Sundays, through Oct. 10. An additional show is scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 7. A post-show reception will be held tomorrow, and a post-show discussion will take place Oct. 2. Festival for Horsin' Around

A parade of costumed horses will highlight the 10th annual Days End Farm Horse Rescue Fall Festival. The family event, a day at the farm, also will include pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, food and games.
