THEFTS/BREAK-INS

JOHN S. MOSBY HWY., 40000 block, 1:32 p.m. Sept. 18. A man attempted to enter an occupied residence through a back door.

Ashburn Area

ASSAULTS

PARKHURST PLAZA, 12:30 a.m. Sept. 19. Four youths armed with knives, a bat and a tire iron attacked two youths in a parking lot. Police responded, and the four youths were arrested and charged with malicious wounding by mob.

Leesburg Area

ADAMS DR. NE, 100 block, 2:05 p.m. Sept. 20. Telephone threats at a residence were reported to police.

ASHTON DR. SW, 200 block, 5:57 p.m. Sept. 18. Telephone threats at a residence were reported to police.

CONSTELLATION SQ. SW, 500 block, 10:40 a.m. Sept. 17. Telephone harassment at a residence was reported to police.

FORT EVANS RD. NE, 600 block, 11:45 p.m. Sept. 17. Police responded to an assault.

GINGER SQ. NE, 600 block, 8:06 p.m. Sept. 20. An assault at a residence was reported to police.

IDA LEE DR. NW, 1 to 100 block, 6:11 p.m. Sept. 17. An assault at a recreational center was reported to police.

MARKET ST. E., 500 block, 9:30 p.m. Sept. 18. An assault was reported to police.

MARKET ST. E., 700 block, 6:35 p.m. Sept. 17. An assault at a motel was reported to police.

WASHINGTON ST. NE, 100 block, 12:20 a.m. Sept. 20. Telephone threats at a residence were reported to police.

HANCOCK PL. NE, 1 to 100 block, 3 p.m. Sept. 18. Two vehicle license plates were stolen.

KING ST. S., 500 block, 1:55 p.m. Sept. 19. A person at a service station pumped gas and did not pay.

MARKET ST. E., 500 block, 7:54 p.m. Sept. 17. Prescription medication was stolen from a purse.

MARKET ST. E., 600 block, 11:13 p.m. Sept. 18. A person at a service station pumped gas and did not pay.

MARKET ST. E., 600 block, 5:11 p.m. Sept. 16. A person at a service station pumped gas and did not pay.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

MARKET ST. E., 300 block, 5:08 p.m. Sept. 21. A white 2003 Toyota Solara was stolen from a parking lot.

VANDALISM

FORT EVANS RD. NE, 600 block, 7:13 a.m. Sept. 17. A vehicle tire was slashed.

PLAZA ST. NE, 1 to 100 block, 5:57 p.m. Sept. 18. A vehicle trunk was scratched.

FALLS CHAPEL COURT, Sept. 4. Firewood was stolen.

J STREET, Sept. 5. A ceramic pot was stolen.

NEWKIRK COURT, Sept. 5. A moped was stolen.

PICKWICK DRIVE, Sept. 4. A bicycle was stolen.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

MAIN ST., 1 to 100 block, 1:25 a.m. Sept. 19. An attempt was made to enter a business by breaking a door window.

Sterling Area

ASSAULTS

MARGATE CT., 1000 block, 9:51 p.m. Sept. 17. Two youths grabbed a youth and assaulted him.

WEDGEDALE DR., 1 to 100 block, 10:15 p.m. Sept. 21. A man assaulted his male roommate during an argument, threatened him with a gun, then fired the weapon in his direction. The man was charged with brandishing a firearm, assault, disorderly conduct and discharging of a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CHURCH RD. W., 45000 block, 12:03 to 12:07 a.m. Sept. 22. Chain saws, trimmers and accessories were stolen from a business entered by forcing a front door.

DAVIS DR., 22000 block, 5 p.m. Sept. 16 to 8:05 a.m. Sept. 17. A CD player, CDs and stereo equipment were stolen from two vehicles entered by breaking windows.

HARRY BYRD HWY., 47000 block, 2:15 p.m. Sept. 14. Jewelry was stolen from a business.

LEATHERLEAF CIR., 21000 block, 3:58 a.m. Sept. 21. A CD player was stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

SHAW RD., 22000 block, 12:01 a.m. Sept. 17 to 11:59 p.m. Sept. 19. Five vehicles were entered by breaking windows, and CD players were stolen from two of the vehicles.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

BUTTERWOOD FALLS TER., 20000 block, 9:14 a.m. Sept. 22. A blue 1991 Ford truck was stolen.

HARRY BYRD HWY., 46000 block, 7:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 18. A silver 2001 Mitsubishi Galant was stolen from a parking lot.

VANDALISM

SHAW RD., 22000 block, 4:30 p.m. Sept. 17 to 1 a.m. Sept. 18. Windows of two vehicles were damaged.
