Twins Sell Polish Pottery

Identical twins Jenny Puckett and Holly Trevino have opened a business, Twins Polish Pottery. The sisters' business partnership started in 1998 after Trevino discovered handcrafted Polish pottery while she and her husband were stationed in Bavaria, in Germany. The colorful designs are created by artisans in Boleslawiec, Poland, using potato cutouts to form stamp patterns. Puckett and Trevino started marketing the pottery in home and craft shows. They soon moved to the Internet and into catalogues, importing more than 20 tons in one year.

The showroom is on the second floor of historic Fabian House at 8519 Chestnut Ave., in Old Bowie. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Accessibility for the disabled may be arranged by calling 301-809-6693. The twins also invite pottery shoppers to visit their Web site, www.twinspolishpottery.com.
