Leesburg Area

ASSAULTS

CATOCTIN CIR. SE, 1 to 100 block, 9:55 p.m. Sept. 23. Verbal threats were reported to police.

CHURCH ST. SE, 100 block, 1:13 p.m. Sept. 27. Telephone harassment was reported to police.

CLUBHOUSE DR. SW, 100 block, 12:21 a.m. Sept. 24. An assault was reported to police.

HUNTMASTER TER. NE, 1000 block, 11:23 p.m. Sept. 22. Police responded to an argument.

MARKET ST. W., 1 to 100 block, 4:35 p.m. Sept. 24. An assault was reported to police.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CARLTON ST., 100 block, 7:58 p.m. Sept. 22. A glider was stolen from a residence.

DRY MILL RD. SW, 200 block, 1:04 a.m. Sept. 28. An unlicensed juvenile used a car without permission.

FORT EVANS RD. NE, 1 to 100 block, 12:20 p.m. Sept. 22. A bicycle was stolen. The bicycle was chained to a handrail.

FORT EVANS RD. NE, 200 block, 10:24 a.m. Sept. 24. A vehicle license plate was stolen.

JAMES MONROE HWY., 14000 block, 5 p.m. Sept. 23 to 4 p.m. Sept. 28. Power tools and a toolbox were stolen from a residence.

LAWFORD DR. SW, 200 block, 6:47 p.m. Sept. 22. A cell phone was stolen from a residence, and a window screen and window latch were damaged.

MEADOWS LANE NE, 100 block, 2:54 p.m. Sept. 27. Two fishing poles and a fishing tackle box were stolen from the bed of a truck.

WARNER CT. SW, 400 block, 4:21 p.m. Sept. 25. A yellow-and-black Haro BMX bicycle was stolen from a front yard at a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

SENTINEL DR. NE, 700 block, 5:59 a.m. Sept. 23. A 1997 Acura Integra was stolen. The vehicle was later found near River Creek and Riverside parkways.

VANDALISM

ASHTON DR. SW, 200 block, 8:15 a.m. Sept. 28. A mailbox and post were damaged.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 700 block, 8:42 a.m. Sept. 27. A vehicle window was shattered.

Purcellville Area

ASSAULTS

MAIN ST. E., 1000 block, Sept. 23. Telephone threats were reported to police.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

MAIN ST. E., 800 block, Sept. 22. A 1994 Ford truck was stolen.

Sterling Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

GREENTHORN AVE., 800 block, 9:30 to 10 p.m. Sept. 25. A purse was stolen from an open vehicle trunk.

STERLING BLVD., 22000 block, 3:37 a.m. Sept. 29. Speakers, amplifiers and CD car stereos were stolen from a business entered by damaging a window.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

MAPLE AVE., 300 block, 7 p.m. Sept. 28 to 4 a.m. Sept. 29. A white 2001 Ford Econoline van containing carpentry materials was stolen.
