DEMOCRACY BLVD., 7100 block, 7:45 p.m. Sept. 22. Three males in a store sprayed an employee with mace and attempted to rob the store of jewelry.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

AUBURN AVE., 4900 block, 10 a.m. Sept. 7 to 9:30 a.m. Sept. 21. An attempt was made to enter a business by forcing a lock. Nothing was reported missing.

EXECUTIVE BLVD., 6000 block, 5 p.m. Sept. 17 to 10:11 a.m. Sept. 18. Cash was stolen from a business entered by forcing open a door.

GROVE ST., 5500 block, Sept. 3 to Sept. 10. Saws were stolen from a garage.

OLD GEORGETOWN RD., 7800 block, 8 p.m. Sept. 17 to 5:30 a.m. Sept. 20. Computer equipment was stolen from a business.

WISCONSIN AVE., 7300 block, 12:30 to 4:30 a.m. Sept. 20. Cash was stolen from a business entered by forcing open a door.

WISCONSIN AVE., 7900 block, 8:30 p.m. Sept. 15 to 7 a.m. Sept. 16. Computers were stolen from a business.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

BETHESDA AVE., 4800 block, Sept. 21. A Silver Spring man, 25, was charged Sept. 21 with indecent exposure.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CATAWBA MANOR WAY, 13200 block, 3 to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 22. A residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

PICKERING DR., 13100 block, 7:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Sept. 22. Cash, a cell phone and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window.

WOODFIELD RD., 24800 block, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 23. A residence was entered by breaking a door. Nothing was reported missing.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

GAITHERSBURG AREA, Sept. 22. A Gaithersburg man, 30, was charged Sept. 22 with sexual abuse of a minor and third-degree sex offense.

GAITHERSBURG AREA, Sept. 26. A Gaithersburg woman, 26, was raped at her residence.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

HONEY BROOK LANE, 1 to 100 block, 10:30 p.m. Sept. 24 to 2:30 a.m. Sept 25. A residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

HORIZON RUN RD., 9500 block, 11 to 11:30 p.m. Sept. 21. Cash was stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a door.

LAZY HOLLOW DR., 100 block, 7:15 to 9:30 a.m. Sept. 22. Two video game systems were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window.

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE AVE., 19100 block, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 12 to 9 a.m. Sept. 13. Computer and other electronic equipment were stolen from a business.

MUNCASTER MILL RD., 800 block, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 21 to 10 a.m. Sept. 23. A bicycle was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window.

QUEEN VICTORIA CT., 17100 block, Sept. 19. A Gaithersburg man, 24, was charged Sept. 19 with first-degree burglary, second-degree assault and malicious destruction of property over $500.

SNOUFFERS SCHOOL RD., 8400 block, 4 to 4:17 a.m. Sept. 16. A gas service station was entered by breaking a window. Nothing was reported missing.

SPRING ST., 1 to 100 block, Sept. 26. Tools were stolen from a residence. A Gaithersburg man, 20, was charged with fourth-degree burglary and theft under $500.

SUMMIT AVE. N., 300 block, Sept. 21. A Washington man, 26, was charged Sept. 21 with fourth-degree burglary in connection with an incident at the above location.

VICTORY FARM DR., 400 block, 2:20 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 21. Food items were stolen from a park.

VICTORY FARM DR., 400 block, 6:16 p.m. Sept. 17 to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 18. An attempt was made to enter a park by prying a frame.

VICTORY FARM DR., 400 block, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 20 to 8 a.m. Sept. 21. An attempt was made to enter a park by prying a frame.

WALKER HOUSE RD., 9800 block, 8 a.m. Sept. 21 to 1:20 a.m. Sept. 22. A DVD player and clothes were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window.

Rockville District

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

ROCKVILLE PARK AREA, 3 p.m. Sept. 23. A male sexually assaulted a Rockville girl, 15, at a park.

SHADY GROVE AREA, Sept. 16. Two men got out of a truck, grabbed a Landover girl, 16, forced her into bushes and sexually assaulted her. The men fled in the truck.

ASSAULTS

LONGWOOD DR., 600 block, 9 p.m. Sept. 16. A male armed with a machete attempted to hit a Rockville woman, 36, in the head, then fled. The woman received a cut on the palm of her hand while defending herself.

MONTGOMERY AVE. E., 100 block, midnight, Sept. 19. After an argument, a male hit a Rockville man, 20, in the head with a machete and attempted to leave in a vehicle. Several witnesses stopped the vehicle and the male fled on foot. The man was transported to a local hospital and treated for injuries.

MOUNT VERNON DRIVE AREA, 11:25 to 11:35 a.m. Sept. 21. Pellets from a BB gun were fired at a Rockville girl, 14, walking through a pathway. The girl was treated at a school clinic.

ROBBERIES

CRABB AVE., 200 block, 10:27 p.m. Sept. 27. Two males got into a taxicab and robbed the driver of cash, a wallet and car keys at gunpoint.

MACON ROAD AND HUNTERS LANE, Sept. 20. Two Rockville boys, age 14, were charged Sept. 20 with robbery, assault and conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with an incident at the above location.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

FALLS RD., 9800 block, 11:30 p.m. Sept. 20 to 7:30 a.m. Sept. 21. Cash was stolen from a business entered by breaking a door.

FALLS RD., 9900 block, 9:15 p.m. Sept. 20 to 7 a.m. Sept. 21. An attempt was made to enter a business by breaking a window.

FALLS RD., 9900 block, 9:15 p.m. Sept. 20 to 7 a.m. Sept. 21. Cash was stolen from a business entered by breaking a door.

PEEPING TOM INCIDENTS

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 11300 block, Sept. 17. A Rockville man, 27, was charged Sept. 17 with peeping tom in connection with an incident at the above location.

Silver Spring District

ASSAULTS

COLESVILLE RD., 8600 block, Sept. 14. An Upper Marlboro boy, 15, was charged Sept. 14 with assault, possession of a drug implement and disorderly conduct in connection with an incident at the above location.

RITCHIE AVENUE AND ROUTE 320, 2:18 p.m. Sept. 21. A police officer ordered a motorcyclist to stop and the operator attempted to strike the officer, then fled. After a license-tag check, the motorcycle was found to have been reported stolen and was later recovered in Takoma Park.

SILVER SPRING AREA, Sept. 24. A man hit a Silver Spring woman, 41, on the head with a baseball bat. A Silver Spring man, 45, was charged with first-degree assault.

ROBBERIES

ARLISS DRIVE AND FLOWER AVENUE, Sept. 24. A Silver Spring man, 18, was charged Sept. 24 with armed robbery, first- and second-degree assault and openly carrying a knife with the intent of causing injury in connection with an incident at the above location.

DOMER AVE., 500 block, 1:22 a.m. Sept. 25. Three males grabbed a man, 27, of no fixed address, forced him to the ground and robbed him of cash and a wallet.

LOCKWOOD DR., 11400 block, 11:30 p.m. Sept. 22. A male struck a Silver Spring man, 63, with his hand and took the man's apartment key.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 8100 block, 9:16 p.m. Sept. 22. A male in a store struck an employee with his hand, robbed a register of cash, then fled on foot.

PLUM ORCHARD DRIVE AND CHERRY HILL ROAD, 12:15 a.m. Sept. 19. A male got out of a vehicle, pointed a gun at a Silver Spring man, 24, waiting at a bus stop, and forced him into the back seat of the vehicle. A second male drove the vehicle to the above location and the first male took cash and a wallet from the man, and forced him out of the vehicle.

SLIGO AVE., 700 block, 2:30 a.m. Sept. 27. A male accosted a Silver Spring female acquaintance, 20, and a Massachusetts man, 26, grabbed a cell phone from the woman, fired shots at them, then fled. No injuries were reported.

DOWNS DR., 1100 block, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 23. Electronic equipment and a fur coat were stolen from a residence.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 9300 block, 9:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Sept. 20. A residence was entered by breaking a door. Nothing was reported missing.

WAYNE AVE., 800 block, 5 p.m. Sept. 17 to 9 a.m. Sept. 20. An attempt was made to enter a business by forcing a door.

Glenmont District

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

WHEATON AREA, Sept. 17. A Wheaton man, 57, sexually abused a Wheaton girl, 7, at a residence.

WHEATON AREA, Sept. 22. A Wheaton man, 20, was charged Sept. 22 with second-degree rape, incest and child abuse.

ROBBERIES

GEORGIA AVE., 13600 block, 4:07 p.m. Sept. 23. Two males assaulted two Silver Spring men, ages 34 and 35, and robbed them of cash and their wallets. Plain-clothes detectives in the area chased the robbers and one of the males, armed with a knife and pellet gun, was shot. Anthony Quentin Dailey, 21, of the 18000 block of Turmeric Ct., Germantown was taken to a local hospital where he died. The second male, a Silver Spring man, 21, was charged with robbery, second-degree assault and theft under $500.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ASPEN HILL RD., 5000 block, midnight to 7:30 a.m. Sept. 20. Lawn equipment was stolen from a garage entered by breaking a window.

BEL PRE RD., 2200 block, 5 p.m. Sept. 18 to 7:15 a.m. Sept. 20. An attempt was made to enter a business by prying a lock and frame.

BEL PRE RD., 2200 block, 7 p.m. Sept. 11 to 9 a.m. Sept. 12. An attempt was made to enter a business by prying a lock and frame.

GLENALLEN AVE., 2100 block, 12:45 to 1:05 p.m. Sept. 20. An attempt was made to enter a residence.

UNIVERSITY BLVD., 3100 block, Sept. 20. A Kensington man, 53, was charged Sept. 21 with first-degree burglary, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, malicious destruction of property and disorderly conduct in connection with an incident at the above location.

CARROLL AVE., 7000 block, 2:12 p.m. Sept. 29. A male entered a business, implied he was armed with a weapon, robbed three women of cash and fled. No injuries were reported.

CARROLL AVENUE AND MANOR CIRCLE, 6:55 p.m. Sept. 28. A male grabbed a female pedestrian, forced her to the ground and robbed her of a purse. The injured female reportedly refused medical treatment.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 7600 block, 4:52 a.m. Sept. 26. A business was entered by cutting a hole in a wall. Nothing was reported missing.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

MAPLE AVE., 7700 block, 11 a.m. Sept. 26. A 2002 Jeep Liberty was stolen.

TAKOMA AND BALTIMORE AVENUES, 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 28. An attempt was made to steal a vehicle by damaging a door lock and ignition.

FIFTH AVE., 6400 block, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 27. A 1986 Buick Skylark was stolen.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

MAPLE AVE., 7100 block, 9:26 a.m. Sept. 29. A male exposed himself to a woman in the yard of a residence.
