ROBBERIES

ALFRED ST. S., 500 block, 3:40 p.m. Oct. 4. A woman, 44, was approached from behind by a man armed with a wooden object. He robbed her of money and fled.

FOUR MILE DR., 500 block, 11:45 to 11:50 p.m. Oct. 3. A man approached a woman, 23, from behind, grabbed her, knocked her down and took her purse. The man then entered a passenger seat of a large black car and fled in the vehicle.

MONTGOMERY ST., 800 block, 2:45 a.m. Oct. 6. A man showed a knife to a male pedestrian, 24, in an alley, then cut the pedestrian on the arm and thigh and took property. The robber fled on foot with another man.

MOUNT VERNON AVE., 3800 block, 8;20 a.m. Oct. 3. A person entered a store, showed a handgun and forced a male manager, 25, into a rear office. The robber took money, then fled in a tan Acura. No injuries were reported.

ST. ASAPH ST. S., 600 block, 2 a.m. Oct. 3. A man approached a female pedestrian, 30, from behind, grabbed her and knocked her down, then pulled her pants down and dragged her to a driveway. The woman fought, and the robber took her purse. The woman received bruises.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ELIOT CT., 5700 block, 7:30 a.m. Oct. 1 to 11 p.m. Oct. 4. Electronic equipment and magazines were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a kitchen window.

GORDON ST. S., 100 block, 9 a.m. Oct. 2 to 6 a.m. Oct. 4. Aluminum bakery racks and scrap copper were stolen from a business entered by forcing a front window.

PRINCETON BLVD., 300 block, 9:55 to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 6. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a rear window.

REYNOLDS ST. S., 300 block, 7:45 to 7:50 p.m. Oct. 5. Keys were stolen from a residence -- apparently entered without force -- and a purple 1998 Plymouth Breeze parked outside was taken.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

BRAGG ST. S., 100 block, 1:50 to 1:53 a.m. Sept. 30. A red 1996 Toyota Corolla was stolen.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY., 2300 block, 1 p.m. Oct. 3. A silver 2004 Dodge Caravan was stolen.

KENWOOD AVE., 1500 block, 4:30 p.m. Sept. 30 to noon Oct. 4. A white 2004 Cadillac Escalade was stolen.

KING ST., 1700 block, 2:30 p.m. Oct. 2 to 9:43 a.m. Oct. 3. Electronic equipment and a safe were stolen from a business.

MOUNT VERNON AVE., 1700 block, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 2. A silver 2001 Toyota Camry was stolen.

NOTABENE DR., 600 block, 11:10 p.m. Oct. 3 to 6:45 a.m. Oct. 4. A gold 1999 Toyota Camry was stolen.

PICKETT ST. S., 400 block, 6:45 to 7:01 a.m. Oct. 1. A white 2004 GMC Yukon was stolen.

ROUNDHOUSE LANE, 1200 block, 8 p.m. Oct. 3 to 8 p.m. Oct. 6. A blue 2000 BMW 528i was stolen.

SUMMERS DR., 500 block, 12:30 to 2:30 a.m. Oct. 3. A black 2004 Nissan Frontier pickup truck was stolen.

WYNDHAM CIR., 3300 block, 9:30 p.m. Sept. 27 to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 1. A black 1997 Dodge Neon was stolen.

WYNDHAM CIR., 3300 block, 9:30 p.m. Oct. 2 to 5:45 a.m. Oct. 3. A gold 2001 Ford van was stolen.

ASSAULTS

PERSHING DR. N., 4400 block, 6:30 p.m. Oct. 3. Police responded to a report of intoxicated men fighting and arrested a man, 19, of no fixed address, and two men, 20 and 32, both of Arlington, and charged them with assault by mob.

WASHINGTON BLVD., 3200 block, 12:05 a.m. Oct. 2. An intoxicated man who was forced to leave a restaurant returned with a knife and tried to enter the business. A male security guard, 32, shut a door and called police. Before police arrived, the intruder tried to flee, and the guard chased and held him for police. An Arlington man, 25, was arrested and charged with attempted malicious wounding.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

FORT MYER DR. N., 1200 block, 8:56 p.m. Oct. 6. A woman, 57, saw a man masturbating in front of an apartment building.

MEADE ST. N., 1300 block, 9:20 p.m. Oct. 4. A girl, 17, saw a man exposing himself in the courtyard of an apartment building.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

FAIRFAX DR., 4100 block, 6 p.m. Sept. 29 to 8:45 a.m. Oct. 1. A CD player and other property were stolen from an office suite. There were no signs of forced entry.

GLEBE RD. N., 700 block, 1:30 a.m. Oct. 3. Police responded to an alarm at a business. A security videotape revealed a suspect in the store stealing bottles of cologne. A description of the suspect was broadcast. Later that day, officers observed the suspect in the vicinity of the store. A man, 53, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with burglary.

14TH ST. S., 3400 block, noon to 4:10 p.m. Oct. 6. A 1999 Honda Civic and other property were stolen from a driveway of a residence. There were no signs of forced entry.

BRYAN ST. N., 300 block. A black 2003 Ford Excursion was stolen.

DINWIDDIE ST. S., 800 block. A blue 1987 Toyota Camry was stolen.

EDGEWOOD ST., 1700 block. A white 1990 Honda Accord was stolen.

FILMORE ST. N., 1200 block. A white and gold 2000 Toyota 4-Runner was stolen.

GEORGE MASON DR. S., 900 block. A silver 1998 Honda CRV was stolen.

GLEBE RD. N., 600 block. A red 1999 Honda Civic was stolen.

SOUTH FOUR MILE RUN DR., 4200 block. A gray 1989 Toyota 4-Runner was stolen.

11TH ST. S., 5000 block. A black 1993 Honda Accord was stolen.

15TH ST. N., 4700 block. A red 1992 Jeep Wrangler was stolen.

31ST ST. S., 4200 block. A gold 1995 Honda Accord was stolen.
