The Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will host "Passport to Success," its Business Expo, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow at the Radisson Annapolis Hotel, 210 Holiday Ct., Annapolis. The event will include more than 50 exhibits by businesses, door prizes and drawings for U.S. Boat Show tickets. The Baltimore/Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce, 312 Marshall Ave., Suite 104, Laurel, will host an orientation session from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. today for new businesses in the Baltimore-Washington area. The meeting will include information about the benefits of Chamber of Commerce membership and tips and techniques concerning free and inexpensive business promotion. The chamber will also host a government procurement fair from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Laurel Park race course, Route 198 and Racetrack Road, Laurel. The Cultural Arts Foundation of Anne Arundel County will host publicity and grant- writing workshops at 6 and 7:30 p.m. respectively Tuesday in the Chesapeake Room of the Heritage Center, Riva Road, Annapolis. The publicity workshop will focus on effective promotion strategies for nonprofit and historic organizations. Panelists will also discuss the most effective ways to write a press release.
