Bethesda District

ROBBERIES

BETHESDA AREA, Aug. 21 and Aug 22. Four Washington residents, one age 17 and three age 15, were charged in connection with three carjacking and four robberies that occurred at Mist Haven Terrace, Fairfax Road, Princeton Avenue, University Boulevard East, Montrose Avenue, and Tuckerman Lane and Cloister Drive.

FAIRFAX RD., 6600 block, 9:45 p.m. Aug. 21. Three males jumped out of a vehicle and two of them robbed two Chevy Chase women, age 30, of property at gunpoint. The males fled in the vehicle driven by a fourth male.

MIST HAVEN TER., 10600 block, 9:20 p.m. Aug. 21. A male demanded property from a Silver Spring woman, 30, getting out of a vehicle, and a second male ordered two of her acquaintances out of the vehicle at gunpoint. The males got into the vehicle and fled from the scene.

MONTROSE AVE., 10600 block, 10 p.m. Aug. 22. Two males got out of a vehicle, attempted to rob a Beltsville man and a woman, both age 47, of property, then drove away in the vehicle.

PRINCETON AVE., 6100 block, 10:10 p.m. Aug. 22. Two male motorists got out of a vehicle and robbed at gunpoint a Glen Echo man, 43, standing next to his vehicle, of a wallet and keys, and took his vehicle.

TUCKERMAN LANE AND CLOISTER DRIVE, 10 p.m. Aug. 22. Two males robbed a Bladensburg man, 28, of a set of keys and a vehicle at gunpoint.

UNIVERSITY BLVD. E., 3400 block, 9:26 p.m. Aug. 22. Two males got out of a car and robbed two Kensington female pedestrians, ages 25 and 55, of property at gunpoint. The robbers went back to the car occupied by three others, drove away, and after a short distance, they robbed three more people of property and fled in the car.

WISCONSIN AVE., 5400 block, 11:10 a.m. Oct. 1. A male in a bank pulled out a note demanding money and robbed the bank of cash.

WOODMONT AVE., 7500 block, 8:40 p.m. Sept. 26. A male robbed a Bethesda woman, 20, of cash and credit cards at gunpoint and assaulted a 22-year-old Bethesda woman.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

AUBURN AVE., 4900 block, 11 to 11:10 p.m. Sept. 23. A flat-screen monitor was stolen from a business entered by breaking a window.

AUBURN AVE., 4900 block, 7:25 to 11:10 p.m. Sept. 23. Flat-screen monitors were stolen from a business entered by breaking a window.

BATTERY LANE, 4800 block, 10 to 10:30 a.m. A residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

CURRY MANOR CT., 6500 block, 3:30 p.m. Sept. 27 to 12:30 a.m. Sept. 28. A TV and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a door.

EAST WEST HWY., 4400 block, 5 p.m. Sept. 24 to 6 a.m. Sept. 27. A laptop computer and a computer hard drive were stolen from a business entered by breaking a window.

LANIER DR., 800 block, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 26 to 8:30 a.m. Sept. 27. A bolt cutter, a key cutter, radios and other property were stolen from a business entered by forcing a door.

RAYMOND ST., 3800 block, 12:15 to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 27. DVDs and a hip pack containing property were stolen from a residence.

WASHINGTON AVE., 7600 block, 1:30 to 2:14 p.m. Sept. 11. Bicycles were stolen from a garage.

16TH ST., 8600 block, 10:24 p.m. Sept. 23. An attempt was made to enter a residence by breaking a door.

ASSAULTS

GERMANTOWN AREA, 8:42 p.m. Sept. 28. During a fight, a man fired at a male acquaintance and other people with a shotgun. A Damascus man, 36, was charged with first-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BLACK STALLION WAY, 17800 block, midnight Sept. 24 to 8 a.m. Sept. 25. A residence was entered by forcing open a window. Nothing was reported missing.

CHALET PL., 13000 block, 9:42 a.m. Sept. 27. An attempt was made to enter a residence by cutting a screen.

FREDERICK RD., 19700 block, 10:01 a.m. Aug. 16. A business was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

FREDERICK RD., 20300 block, noon Sept. 16 to noon Sept. 17. Construction materials were stolen from a residence.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

GAITHERSBURG AREA, 1 a.m. Sept. 8. A male climbed through a bedroom window and raped a Gaithersburg girl, 13.

FLOWER HILL WAY AND HALLMARK CT., 3:35 p.m. Oct. 1. Two males robbed a cab driver of cash and a cell phone at gunpoint.

GOSHEN RD., 20000 block, 9:35 p.m. Oct. 3. A male robbed a store of cash from a cash register and cigarettes at gunpoint.

LOST KNIFE RD., 18300 block, 12:27 p.m. Oct. 2. Two males robbed a Germantown pizza deliveryman, 47, of cash and pizza at gunpoint. A Laurel resident, 17, and a Gaithersburg man, 21, were arrested and charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, first-degree assault, use of a handgun in commission of a felony and theft under $500.

RIDGELINE DR., 9900 block, 1:30 p.m. Sept. 27. A male force a pizza deliveryman, 37, to the ground and a second man robbed him of cash at gunpoint, while a third man stood by. All three robbers fled.

RIDGELINE DR., 9900 block, 2 p.m. Sept. 28. Three males robbed a pizza deliveryman, 48, at knifepoint of cash, a wallet and a cell phone.

SHADY GROVE METRO, 1 a.m. Oct. 1. Two males robbed a cab driver of cash at gunpoint.

WOODFIELD RD., 18500 block, Sept. 1 and Oct. 1. A Gaithersburg man, 20, was charged Sept. 1 with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, first-degree assault and theft under $500; and a Gaithersburg man, 19, was charged Oct. 1 with robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, theft under $500, possession of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute drugs. All the charges were in connection with a May 2 incident that occurred at the above location.

CANADIAN CT., 19000 block, 9 a.m. Sept. 27. A Gaithersburg boy, 15, was charged with first- and second-degree burglary, theft under $500 and conspiracy to commit the same crimes; and a Rockville man, 19, was charged with first-degree burglary.

CHRISTOPHER AVE., 400 block, 9:50 p.m. Sept. 25. Electronic equipment was stolen from a residence.

DEER PARK RD. W., 1 to 100 block, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 29. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a residence.

FREDERICK AVE. S., 1 to 100 block, 10 p.m. Sept. 24 to 11:30 a.m. Sept. 25. Coins were stolen from a business.

HARBOR TREE CT., 1 to 100 block, 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 1. Cash, cameras, snow board equipment, a VCR, a video game system and games, DVDs, clothes and jewelry were stolen from a residence.

SHADY SPRING TER., 17600 block, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 23. A car stereo was stolen from a vehicle entered by forcing open a window.

SNOUFFER SCHOOL RD., 8000 block, 6 p.m. Sept. 25 to 9:30 a.m. Sept. 26. Cash was stolen from a business entered through a garage bay.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

ROCKVILLE AREA, Sept. 24. A Rockville woman, 19, was raped and sexually abused by an acquaintance between Aug. 1, 1995 to June 1, 1997.

ASSAULTS

CHARLES RD., 12200 block, 1:10 a.m. Sept. 26. A male got out of a vehicle and shot a Silver Spring man, 28, in the abdomen. The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injury.

RANDOLPH RD., 5200 block, 7:15 p.m. Sept. 23. A Washington man, 36, was charged Sept. 23 with second-degree assault and carrying a concealed weapon.

ROBBERIES

ROCKVILLE METRO, 11:30 p.m. Sept. 30. A male robbed a Gaithersburg man, 52, of a backpack at gunpoint.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 11500 block, 9:50 a.m. Sept. 27. A man entered a store, implied he was armed with a gun and robbed the cash register of cash.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CAPTAINS WALK CT., 11100 block, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 30. Cash, a calculator, a backpack and school supplies were stolen.

GUDE DR. E., 1300 block, 9 to 9:24 p.m. Cash was stolen from a business.

KENDALE RD., 9100 block, Sept. 20. Electronic equipment was stolen from a residence.

PEGASUS CT., 9200 block, 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Sept. 27. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a door.

ASSAULTS

BRIGGS CHANEY COMMUNITY, 12:30 a.m. Sept. 25. A male struck female acquaintance, 22, of Silver Spring, and a Silver Spring man, 50, with his vehicle. The man was treated for injuries.

CHRISTOPHER AVENUE, 11:50 p.m. Sept. 20. Two males jumped into a waiting cab and robbed the driver of cash and a cell phone at knifepoint.

FLOWER AVE., 8700 block, 10:45 p.m. Sept. 30. A Greenbelt man was charged with aggravated assault in connection with an incident at the above location.

SILVER SPRING AREA, Sept. 24. A Silver Spring man, 22, assaulted a Silver Spring woman, 26, at knifepoint. A man was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and violation of a protective order.

SILVER SPRING AREA, Sept. 29. A Silver Spring man, 46, was charged with child abuse-custodian, and second- and first-degree assault.

WHITE OAK AREA, 11 a.m. Sept. 24. A male grabbed a female acquaintance, 21, of Silver Spring, 21, forced her against a wall and robbed her of a cell phone and jewelry at knifepoint.

COLESVILLE RD., 8600 block, 2:20 p.m. Oct. 1. A man implied he was armed with a weapon and robbed a bank of cash.

HOOD AND FORTSON STREETS, 3 p.m. Sept. 27. A male tripped a Silver Spring boy, 11, and robbed him of a pair of sneakers.

MAYOR LANE, 8200 block, 12:32 a.m. Sept. 28. A male in a business robbed an employee of a wallet, and a second male grabbed a second employee and took a computer from the store.

16TH ST., 8500 block, 7:20 a.m. Sept. 27. Two males in a parking lot accosted a Silver Spring man, 42, and robbed him of cash at knifepoint.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS
