THEFTS/BREAK-INS

MAISON CARREE SQ., 22000 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 5 to 7:30 a.m. Oct. 6. A jacket, a CD player and a spare tire were stolen from a vehicle.

TATTINGER TER., 43000 block, 12:30 to 7:44 a.m. Oct. 6. Four tires and rims were stolen from a vehicle, and the undercarriage was damaged.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

LAPLUME PL., 20000 block, 9:53 a.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 10. A 1996 green Toyota Land Cruiser was stolen from a driveway at a residence.

VANDALISM

BEECHWOOD TER., 20000 block, 8:30 p.m. Oct. 10 to 9:30 a.m. Oct. 11. A vehicle was scratched.

CHILUM PL., 44000 block, 5:45 p.m. Oct. 9 to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 10. Drywall was damaged at a building under renovation.

ASSAULTS

HANCOCK PL. NE, 1 to 100 block, 7:15 p.m. Oct. 10. An argument at a residence was reported to police.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ALPINE DR. SE, 100 block, 8:27 a.m. Oct. 6. Tools were stolen from a vehicle.

CARLTON ST. SW, 100 block, 7:25 p.m. Oct. 10. A Sony Cyber-shot camera was stolen from a vehicle.

CLARK CT. NE, 700 block, 4:18 p.m. Oct. 9. A vehicle license plate was stolen.

DRY MILL RD., 100 block, 1:29 a.m. Oct. 8. A female took two cartons of cigarettes from a convenience store without paying.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 800 block, 3:36 p.m. Oct. 8. A man grabbed cash from a man's hand and fled.

EVERGREEN MILL RD. SE, 300 block, 7:59 a.m. Oct. 12. Three campaign signs were stolen.

FORT EVANS RD. NE, 200 block, 7:13 p.m. Oct. 10. Embezzlement at a restaurant was reported to police.

GUNPOWDER CT. SE, 800 block, 11:09 a.m. Oct. 9. Two Redskins football game tickets were stolen from a residence. A suspect was identified, and the tickets were returned to the owner.

IDA LEE DR. NW, 1 to 100 block, 4:34 p.m. Oct. 9. A wallet was stolen from a recreation center.

KING ST. S., 500 block, 7:43 p.m. Oct. 6. A person pumped gasoline at a service station and did not pay.

MARKET ST. E., 600 block, 8:03 p.m. Oct. 10. A stereo, keys and a cell phone were stolen from a vehicle.

ROUTE 15 BYPASS AND BATTLEFIELD PARKWAY NE, 9:34 a.m. Oct. 8. A tool used for drilling cable into the ground was stolen from the bed of a truck. A fire extinguisher was stolen from another truck, and a third vehicle was damaged and sprayed with a fire extinguisher.

VANDALISM

APPLETREE DR., 200 block, 6:18 p.m. Oct. 6. A vehicle was scratched.

DAVIS AVE. SW, 100 block, 1:59 p.m. Oct. 8. An unidentified substance was sprayed on a front yard at a residence, causing damage to flowers and grass.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 900 block, 11:35 a.m. Oct. 11. A vehicle side mirror was damaged.

FORT EVANS RD. NE, 200 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 7. A vehicle was scratched.

FORT EVANS RD. NE, 600 block, 9:52 a.m. Oct. 11. A side of a vehicle was painted.

GATEWAY DR. SE, 700 block, 3:39 p.m. Oct. 10. Two vehicles were scratched.

HERITAGE WAY NE, 1 to 100 block, 2:34 p.m. Oct. 12. A parking space was marked with graffiti.

MARKET ST. NE, 300 block, 4:29 a.m. Oct. 8. Police responded to an alarm at a service station and discovered a cinder block had been thrown through a sliding glass window. Nothing was reported stolen.

SHENANDOAH ST., 200 block, 12:10 a.m. Oct. 8. A screen door was damaged.

TWINTREE TER. NE, 500 block, 8:48 a.m. Oct. 12. Drywall, doors and hardwood flooring were damaged at a house under construction.

TWINTREE TER. SE, 500 block, 8:49 a.m. Oct. 11. Drywall, carpeting, light fixtures, a bathtub, bath fixtures and a garage door opener were damaged at a house under construction.

MAIN ST. E., 800 block, Oct. 3. A riding lawn mower was stolen from a business.

SNICKERSVILLE TPK., 34000 block, 12:30 to 5:30 a.m. Oct. 11. World War II relic clothing was stolen from a residence.

South Riding Area

HYLAND HILLS ST., 43000 block, 2:37 to 2:45 p.m. Oct. 13. A vehicle was scratched.

Sterling Area

ASSAULTS

GREENTHORN AVENUE AND SHERWOOD COURT, 5:27 p.m. Oct. 9. Several males assaulted a male as he was walking with another youth. The victim reportedly declined medical treatment.

LOWES ISLAND BOULEVARD AND BOUY PLACE, 4:30 p.m. Oct. 12 to 4:40 p.m. Oct. 13. A male reported that for the past two days, a male shot him with a pellet gun after he got off a school bus. He received minor injuries but did not need medical treatment.

STAUNTON AVE., 800 block, 8:20 p.m. Oct. 13. A person grabbed a male who had stepped outside of a church to get some air, then released the male and fled when a car pulled into a parking lot.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

HOLLY AVE., 100 block, 8:15 p.m. Oct. 13. A woman heard a knock at her office window and when she looked outside, she saw a man exposing himself.

LAKE CENTER PLAZA, 46000 block, 9:20 p.m. Oct. 10. A man at a restaurant exposed himself to a waitress when she went to his table to take an order.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BRIARWOOD CT., 100 block, 5:31 p.m. Oct. 6. A bicycle was stolen from a garage at a residence. The bicycle was recovered.

COMMUNITY PLAZA, 46000 block, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 5. A jewelry case was stolen from a counter at a business.

FAIRMONT PLACE, 11 p.m. Oct. 2 to 9 a.m. Oct. 3. CDs, a CD player, speakers and stereo equipment were stolen from a vehicle.

POTOMAC RUN PLAZA, 46000 block, 4 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11. A purse was stolen from a vehicle, and a window was damaged.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

STERLING BLVD., 900 block, 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 11. Four juveniles entered an acquaintance's house, stole a set of keys and took a ride in a vehicle without permission. The owner of the vehicle saw the juveniles pushing the vehicle back to the house. All four were changed with auto theft and burglary.

VANDALISM

FREDERICK DRIVE AND AMELIA STREET, 4:28 p.m. Oct. 11. A stop sign was removed from an intersection.

UNDERWOOD LANE, 45000 block, 5:45 p.m. Oct. 12 to 7:30 a.m. Oct. 13. A window at a business was damaged.
