Bank robber sought: The FBI said yesterday it is searching for a man suspected in seven bank robberies in Montgomery and Prince George's counties this year.

Authorities released a photo taken during a holdup at the Chevy Chase Bank on Largo Center Drive in Largo on June 25. In that robbery, a man handed a teller a note and fled with money. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to a conviction.

Barry Maddox, a spokesman for the FBI in Baltimore, said authorities are still offering a $125,000 reward in the Aug. 6 slaying of a Dunbar armored car courier in Hyattsville.

* A 20-year-old District man was fatally shot yesterday afternoon near the Potomac Gardens housing development at the edge of Capitol Hill, D.C. police said.

The man was identified as Curtis Token. Police said he was in a grassy space near Potomac Avenue and I Street SE when someone approached and fired several times.
