OAKRIDGE LANE, 4200 block, 10:15 p.m. Oct. 2. Two males demanded cash from a Chevy Chase boy, 13, who said he had none, and the robbers left empty-handed.

WISCONSIN AVE., 11:10 a.m. Oct. 1. A male in a bank passed a teller a note demanding cash and robbed the bank of cash.

WISCONSIN AVE., 5200 block, 12:20 p.m. Oct. 5. A male robbed a bank of cash.

WISCONSIN AVE., 7100 block, 12:40 p.m. Oct. 5. A male in a bank passed a clerk a note, robbed the bank of cash and fled in a vehicle.

WISCONSIN AVE., 7100 block, 12:52 p.m. Oct. 5. A male in a bank showed a teller a note, implied he was armed with a weapon and robbed the bank of cash.

WOODMONT AVE., 7700 block, 1 p.m. Oct. 2. A male in a store implied he was armed with a gun and took cash from a cash register and a customer.

WILLARD AVE., 4500 block, Feb. 1 to Aug. 2. Kitchen items, alcohol, bedding articles, silverware and dishes were stolen from a residence.

WILLARD AVE., 4700 block, 5:30 p.m. Sept. 30 to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 1. A video game system was stolen.

WISCONSIN AVE., 5400 block, 4 a.m. to 2:03 p.m. Oct. 5. Cash, a computer, a computer hard drive and a camera were stolen from a residence.

WISCONSIN AVE., 7000 block, 7 a.m. July 31. A laptop computer was reported stolen Oct. 8 from a business.

Germantown District

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

HOYLES MILL ROAD AREA, 5:27 a.m. Oct. 10. A man forced a woman into his vehicle at gunpoint and drove around the above location. The District woman, 46, was sexually assaulted. She then ran and hid in the woods, went to a house and had a resident call police. She was treated and released from a local hospital.

ASSAULTS

BETHESDA CHURCH RD., 9800 block, 12:28 a.m. Oct. 10. Several adults were involved in a fight.

DAMASCUS AREA, 11 p.m. Oct. 8. A male assaulted a female acquaintance, 20, of Maryland.

FREDERICK RD., 20200 block, 11 p.m. Oct. 1. A male fired a shotgun at occupants of a residence and fled in a vehicle.

PLUMMER DRIVE AND ROUTE 355, 1:16 a.m. Oct 11. Two males got out of a vehicle and chased a Washington boy, 17, a Gaithersburg boy, 17, and a Germantown man, 18, then fired a shot at them. A fight broke out inside a convenience store and one of the three males received a cut to his face. He reportedly refused treatment. The assailants fled in a vehicle.

ROBBERIES

CLOPPER RD., 12000 block, 9:54 p.m. Oct. 8. Two males went through the pockets of three youths and one of the males took a pack of cigarettes from a 17-year-old Germantown boy. One of the youths was punched in the abdomen and robbed of a hat. The assailants fled with a third male.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BARNESVILLE RD., 18200 block, 11 p.m. Sept. 30 to 7 a.m. Oct. 1. A speaker wire system was stolen from a church.

CIRCLE GATE DR., 19200 block, 8 to 8:20 p.m. Oct. 1. A safe was stolen from a business and was later recovered.

FREDERICK RD., 24000 block, 3:48 a.m. Oct. 2. Saws were stolen from a business entered by removing glass from a door.

GERMANTOWN AREA, Oct. 7. A Germantown man, 32, was charged Oct. 7 with first-degree burglary and theft under $500 in connection with a Sept. 15 incident at the 1 to 100 block of Grotto Ct. and with first-degree burglary, first-degree sex offense and harassment in connection with an incident at the 13100 block of Wonderland Way.

GERMANTOWN RD., 17000 block, 6 p.m. Sept. 18 to 6 a.m. Oct. 3. Kegs and cases of beer were stolen from a business on several occasions.

SKY BLUE DR., 12300 block, 7:40 a.m. to 6:18 p.m. Oct. 8. Cash, a computer, a stereo system, a leather jacket and jewelry were stolen from a residence.

TIMKO LANE, 18300 block, midnight to 5:12 a.m. Oct. 1. A video game system and games, a DVD player, DVDs, CDs, a purse and a set of car keys were stolen from a residence.

Gaithersburg District

HOMICIDES

BLUE SMOKE DR., 8800 block, 1:52 a.m. Oct. 9. A male resident fought with a roommate and stabbed him in the chest with a kitchen knife. Edward Machado, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene. A Gaithersburg man, 50, was charged with first-degree murder.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

GAITHERSBURG AREA, Oct. 10. A resident sexually assaulted a 25-year-old Maryland female acquaintance. A Gaithersburg man, 19, was charged with second-degree rape.

GAITHERSBURG AREA, 4 p.m. Sept. 27. A male made sexual advances and inappropriately touched a Fort Washington man, 19.

ASSAULTS

DIAMOND AVE. E., 300 block, 9:39 p.m. Oct. 1. A Gaithersburg man, 24, was charged with first- and second-degree assault and resisting arrest, hindering and disorderly intoxication in connection with an incident at the above location.

ROBBERIES

APPLERIDGE RD., 10100 block, 2:45 p.m. Oct. 5. Two juveniles, one with a bike, demanded the bike of a 14-year-old Gaithersburg boy. When he refused, one of the juveniles punched him and took his bike. A second juvenile also punched the boy and then picked up the first assailant's bike, which was recovered shortly after.

DEER PARK RD. W., 400 block, 9:25 p.m. Oct. 7. A male robbed a Gaithersburg boy, 16, of cash, jewelry and clothing at gunpoint.

EVANS DR., 2900 block, 10:30 p.m. Oct. 7. Four males forced a Silver Spring man, 25, back into his vehicle, took his wallet, then ordered him out of his vehicle. The robbers drove away with his vehicle and abandoned it nearby.

LOST KNIFE RD., 18300 block, 2:15 p.m. Oct. 2. A Laurel juvenile, 17, and a Gaithersburg man, 21, were charged Oct. 2 with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, first-degree assault and use of a handgun in the commission of a felony in connection with an incident at the above location.

MONTGOMERY MALL PARKING GARAGE, 4:30 p.m. Oct. 4. Two males, one armed with a knife and the other with a gun, took cash from a Silver Spring man, 39, who was getting out of his vehicle.

RUSSELL AVE., 800 block, 9:30 a.m. Sept. 30. Two males followed a Gaithersburg woman, 34, forced her down and grabbed her purse.

DEER PARK DR. W., 1 to 100 block, 1:15 a.m. Oct. 12. A residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

DEER PARK RD. W., 1 to 100 block, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 8. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.

LAKEFOREST MALL, 6:20 p.m. Oct. 6. A man opened his pants and exposed himself to a Clarksburg woman, 35, and then fled in a vehicle.

DERWOOD AREA, 4 p.m. Sept. 29. A male made sexual advances and inappropriately touched a 13-year-old Derwood girl while driving her to her residence.

ROCKVILLE AREA, 1 a.m. Oct. 4. A man sexually assaulted an 18-year-old woman at his residence.

BRAXFIELD CT., 12200 block, 7:15 a.m. Oct. 4. Two males at a school bus stop searched the backpack of a Rockville girl, 12, smacked her on the buttocks and fled when the school bus arrived.

ASHLEY DR., 11900 block, 5:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Oct. 9. Kitchen utensils were stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a door.

OWENS GLEN TER., 15500 block, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 1. Cash, a camera, a video camera, DVDs and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a door.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 11500 block, Sept. 27. A male robbed a business of property.

ZETTS AVE., 8600 block, 2 to 7:30 a.m. Oct. 8. Cash, a computer, a printer, a CD player, CDs, a video game system and games, needles and tattoo supplies was stolen from a business entered by forcing open a door.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

OLNEY AREA, Oct. 9. A resident sexually assaulted a female neighbor, 31, at her residence.

SILVER SPRING AREA, Oct. 8. A man, 37, sexually assaulted a 14-year-old Silver Spring female acquaintance at a residence.

ASSAULTS

CAMERON ST., 8600 block, 10:10 p.m. Oct. 9. A male argued with a Silver Spring man, 23, and hit him with a brick on the back of the head, then fled. The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

GEORGIA AVE., 18000 block, 3 p.m. Oct. 5. An Olney boy, 15, and a Gaithersburg man, 18, were charged Oct. 5 with first-degree assault and carrying a deadly weapon with intent to injure in connection with an incident at the above location.

HARLEQUIN TER., 2000 block, 2:55 p.m. Oct. 5. A man argued with a female acquaintance, 23, and held her against her will at her residence. When police arrived, he jumped out of a bedroom window, struck a police officer in the face, ran to a nearby residence and assaulted a resident, who held him down until police arrived. A Riverdale man, 27, was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, malicious destruction of property, false imprisonment and resisting arrest.

ISLINGTON ST., 800 block, 9:58 a.m. Oct. 7. A male driver struck the vehicle of a Gaithersburg man.

OLD COLUMBIA PIKE, 11700 block, 11:07 p.m. Oct. 7. Police attempted to stop a car at the above location but the car sped away. Police chased the car, which rammed into a vehicle on University Boulevard and the Capital Beltway. The chase continued into the District, where the driver eluded police.

COLESVILLE RD., 8600 block, 2:40 p.m. Oct. 5. A male in a store implied he was armed with a gun and demanded cash from an employee. The employee screamed, and when another employee entered, the male fled.

FLOWER AVE., 8400 block, 9 a.m. Oct. 11. A male robbed a man, 22, of cash, wallet and a cell phone at gunpoint.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 10200 block, 9:48 p.m. Oct 10. A man in a convenience store, robbed a cash register of cash and fled in a vehicle.

GEORGIA AVE., 8200 block, 10:24 a.m. Aug. 28. A male robbed a business of property.

SILVER MOON WAY, 13400 block, 5:25 p.m. Sept. 29. A Silver Spring man, 19, was arrested and charged with robbery.

LEE AVE., 100 block, 4:36 p.m. Oct 9. A female was charged with first- and second-degree assault in connection with a Sept. 28 incident in Takoma Park.

UNIVERSITY BLVD., 900 block, 2:09 a.m. Oct. 10. A male was charged with possession of a handgun, resisting arrest and making a false statement to a police officer.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

COCKERILLE AVE., 6800 block, Oct. 9. A 1997 Ford Crown Victoria was stolen and abandoned nearby. The steering column was damaged.

ELM AVE., 800 block, 7 p.m. Oct. 8 to 5 a.m. Oct. 9. A 1990 Honda Accord was stolen.

HOLLY AVE., 7300 block,7:30 p.m. Oct. 8. A 1997 Honda Accord was stolen.

LEE AVE., 100 block, 4:30 p.m. Oct. 10 to 8:45 p.m. Oct. 11. The windows of a 1990 Honda Accord and a 2000 Ford Focus were smashed, and car equipment was stolen from them.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 6900 block, 9 p.m. Oct. 8. A 1995 Honda Accord was stolen.
