Ashburn Area

INDECENT EXPOSURE

GLOUCESTER PKWY., 44000 block, 3:15 to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 14. A man exposed himself to a female student as she was walking home from school.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

RIVER RIDGE TER., 20000 block, 9:30 p.m. Oct. 13 to 7:45 a.m. Oct. 14. A CD player was stolen from a vehicle entered by damaging a window.

Leesburg Area

ASSAULTS

CEDAR WALK CIR. NE, 100 block, 3:21 p.m. Oct. 14. An assault at a residence was reported to police. A window was broken during the incident.

DRY MILL RD. SW, 400 block, 11:31 a.m. Oct. 15. An assault at a school was seen by police.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 800 block, 12:54 p.m. Oct. 14. Police responded to an assault at a residence.

EVANS RIDGE TER. NE, 400 block, 10:30 p.m. Oct. 17. Two men reportedly assaulted a man and fled.

HERITAGE WAY NE, 1 to 100 block, 2:09 p.m. Oct. 19. An assault was reported to police.

WASHINGTON ST. NE, 100 block, 8:29 p.m. Oct. 14. An assault was reported to police. Two handguns were found by police concealed on one of the people involved in the assault. No arrests were reported.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ALPINE DR. SE, 100 block, 11:05 a.m. Oct. 13. Three chandeliers and pieces of trim for recessed lighting were stolen from a house under construction.

CATOCTIN CIR. SW, 1 to 100 block, 9:09 p.m. Oct. 15. A cell phone was stolen from a vehicle.

DAVIS AVE. SW, 1 to 100 block, 7:57 p.m. Oct. 19. A passport and a work permit were stolen from a residence.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 900 block, 6:51 p.m. Oct. 18. Shoplifting at a business was reported to police.

EDWARDS FERRY ROAD AND BATTLEFIELD PARKWAY NE, 6:29 p.m. Oct. 13. Construction materials were stolen. A suspect was detained at the scene, and some items were recovered.

EVERGREEN MILL RD. SE, 500 block, 1:30 p.m. Oct. 15. A wallet was turned in at an office at a school after a student dropped it in a hallway. Cash and a bank card were missing.

HARRISON ST. SE, 200 block, 3:28 p.m. Oct. 16. Two people ordered food at a restaurant and left without paying.

KING ST. S., 200 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 14. A Virginia license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

KING ST. S., 400 block, 9:45 a.m. Oct. 15. Two campaign signs were stolen from a front yard at a residence.

LAKE VIEW WAY NW, 200 block, 4:02 p.m. Oct. 13. A backpack, a cell phone and a wallet were stolen from a vehicle.

LAKE VIEW WAY NW, 200 block, 8:18 a.m. Oct. 13. A briefcase was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. A purse was stolen from a second unlocked vehicle.

MARLOW ST. SW, 100 block, 11:09 a.m. Oct. 13. Credit card fraud was reported to police.

OAK CREST MANOR DR. NE, 300 block, 5:26 p.m. Oct. 18. Lumber was stolen from a yard at a residence.

PLAZA ST. NE, 1 to 100 block, 8:38 p.m. Oct. 18. A woman at a convenience store grabbed cash out of a man's hand and fled in a vehicle.

RIVERPOINT DR., 43000 block, 5:45 to 7:50 p.m. Oct. 14. Cabling wires, extension cable and boxes containing computer and stereo equipment were stolen from a residence.

ROYAL ST. SE, 1 to 100 block, 11 p.m. Oct. 19. Cash was stolen from a residence.

SYCOLIN ROAD AND HOPE PARKWAY SE, 12:20 p.m. Oct. 15. Cash was stolen from a cab driver's pocket.

VANDALISM

SHENANDOAH ST. SE, 200 block, 10:20 a.m. Oct. 15. Four vehicle tires were slashed.

SMARTTS LANE NE, 800 block, 10:05 a.m. Oct. 16. Vehicle headlights were marred with paint.

SMARTTS LANE NE, 1000 block, 7:20 p.m. Oct. 17. Headlight covers of a vehicle and a rear tire were marred by paint.

Purcellville Area

16TH ST. N., 100 block, Oct. 9. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a front door.

Sterling Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

AMELIA ST., 800 block, 11 p.m. Oct. 19 to 10:15 a.m. Oct. 20. A CD player was stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

CAMERON ST., 200 block, 12:30 a.m. Oct. 20. A CD player was stolen from a vehicle.

SUGARLAND SQUARE CT., 1 to 100 block, 1:47 a.m. Oct. 15. Power tools were stolen from a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

EMORY DR., 100 block, 7:35 to 7:40 a.m. Oct. 14. A red 1991 Toyota Tercel was stolen. The vehicle had been left running by the owner.

VANDALISM

SUGARLAND SQUARE CT., 1 to 100 block, 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 18. A house for sale was entered by forcing a front door, and walls were painted with graffiti.
