ASSAULTS

WASHINGTON ST. N., 1000 block, 12:30 to 12:40 a.m. Oct. 15. A man stabbed a man, 38, of no fixed address, in the back. The injured man walked to a fire station and was flown by helicopter to a hospital. A man, 37, of no fixed address, was charged with malicious wounding.

ROBBERIES

ASCOT COURT AND SANGER AVENUE, 8:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 13. A man robbed a cabdriver, 37, of cash and a cell phone at gunpoint. No injuries were reported.

GLEBE RD. W., 1000 block, 1:30 to 1:40 a.m. Oct. 17. A male ran toward a man, 26, and robbed him of a wallet at knifepoint. The robber fled in a vehicle parked nearby. The victim reportedly suffered minor scrapes.

GLENDALE AVE. E., 200 block, 7:56 p.m. Oct. 20. A male with a baseball bat robbed a man, 32, of cash and left with another male. Police arrested two Alexandria men, ages 26 and 28, and charged them with robbery.

KING AND SOUTH PATRICK STREETS, 10:20 p.m. Oct. 18. A male grabbed the purse of a woman, 34, and fled with another male.

RUSSELL ROAD AND WEST LINDEN STREET, 10:40 to 10:44 p.m. Oct. 14. A group of males forced a man, 49, to the ground, struck him and robbed him of cash and a briefcase, then fled on foot. The man reportedly suffered minor injuries. The briefcase was recovered.

WEST BRADDOCK AND RUSSELL ROADS, 4:12 to 4:25 a.m. Oct. 16. Two males assaulted a man, 37, and robbed him of a wallet. The man reportedly suffered minor abrasions and was treated by paramedics.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ALFRED ST. S., 600 block, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 15. Electronic equipment was stolen from a residence.

ASCOT CT., 5500 block, 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 17. A resident found a boy with electronic games in his apartment. A boy, 14, was charged with statutory burglary.

ASCOT CT., 5500 block, 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 17. Electronic games were stolen from an apartment.

COMMONWEALTH AVE., 1900 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 1 to 7:41 a.m. Oct. 8. Silverware and jewelry were stolen from a residence.

DARTMOUTH RD., 1000 block, 10 a.m. Oct. 15 to 12:10 a.m. Oct. 19. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a door.

FOUR MILE RD., 500 block, 11:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Oct. 19. A laptop computer was stolen from a residence.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY., 3300 block, 8 p.m. Oct. 13 to 8 a.m. Oct. 14. Tires were stolen from a business.

PICKETT ST. N., 2200 block, 11:30 p.m. Oct. 15 to noon Oct. 16. Cash, a cell phone and other property were stolen from a residence.

QUAKER LANE, 1600 block, 7:55 to 7:58 p.m. Oct. 15. Cash was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a door.

WHITING ST. S., 400 block, 2 to 10 p.m. Oct. 15. Clothing and household items were stolen from a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

ARMISTEAD ST. N., 400 block, 4:15 p.m. Oct. 15 to 6 p.m. Oct. 16. A gold 1998 Chevrolet van was stolen.

ARMISTEAD ST. N., 500 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 13 to 7:30 a.m. Oct. 15. A blue 1997 Honda Civic was stolen.

BRADDOCK RD. W., 4800 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 17 to 8:10 a.m. Oct. 18. A blue 2002 Ford Taurus sedan was stolen.

MARTHA CUSTIS DR., 1200 block, 4 p.m. Oct. 13 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 19. A gold 2001 Ford Focus was stolen.

TRENT CT., 5500 block, 10:30 p.m. Oct. 16 to noon Oct. 17. A black 1992 Honda Civic was stolen.

VERMONT AVE., 4400 block, 1:50 to 2 a.m. Oct. 15. A black 1990 Nissan Maxima was stolen.

WESMOND DR., 300 block, 7 p.m. Oct. 17 to 6 a.m. Oct. 18. A red 1987 Toyota pickup truck was stolen.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

DINWIDDIE ST. N., 1900 block, 3 p.m. Oct. 7 to 4:40 p.m. Oct. 13. Electronic equipment was stolen from a shed of a business.

GLEBE RD. N., 300 block, 3 p.m. Oct. 9 to 8:40 a.m. Oct. 12. An attempt was made to enter an office.

IVY ST. N., 900 block, 9 a.m. Oct. 11 to 8 p.m. Oct. 12. A radio, a stereo and a hair dryer were stolen from a residence.

LEE HWY., 4000 block, 7 p.m. Oct. 12 to 8 a.m. Oct. 13. Forty-seven tires were stolen from a business entered by forcing a window.

WILSON BLVD., 3500 block, 3 p.m. Oct. 11 to 5:30 a.m. Oct. 12. A toolbox and power tools were stolen from a construction site.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

COURTHOUSE RD. S., 1200 block. A maroon 2003 Nissan Altima was stolen.

GLEBE RD. N., 800 block. A silver 2000 Honda Accord was stolen.

SEVENTH ST. S., 5600 block, A blue 1988 Toyota Minivan was stolen.

VANDALISM

FAIRFAX DR., 1600 block, Oct. 12 to Oct. 13. Windows of four vehicles were smashed.

PERSHING DRIVE, GEORGE MASON DRIVE AND WILSON BOULEVARD AREA. Oct. 13 to Oct. 14. Windows of five vehicles were smashed.
