Polls in Montgomery and Frederick counties will open at 7 a.m. Tuesday and close at 8 p.m. Voters may cast ballots in the presidential election and the U.S. Senate, House of Representatives, Circuit Court judge and Board of Education races in Montgomery and Frederick.

Montgomery County residents who want to familiarize themselves with the touch-screen voting machines before the elections can go to this Web site to see a live demonstration: www.mdvotes.org/demo.php.

Also, Montgomery County public libraries, the Board of Elections at 751 Twinbrook Pkwy. in Rockville and five county regional service centers will offer online assistance for those who do not have computers or Internet access.

Other locations for computer access are: Gilchrist Center for Cultural Diversity, 11319 Elkin St., Wheaton; TESS Center, 8513 Piney Branch Rd., Silver Spring; and Long Branch Community Center, 8700 Piney Branch Rd., Silver Spring.

Absentee Ballots

In Montgomery and Frederick counties, late absentee ballots may be obtained from elections board offices and must be returned by 8 p.m. Tuesday. Ballots in Montgomery also can be downloaded from www.777vote.org.

The Montgomery County Board of Elections is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. It also will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
