Columbia Area

ROBBERIES

DOBBIN CENTER WAY, 6400 block, 8:30 p.m. Oct. 17. Two masked males armed with a machete with a curved blade and a dark-colored single-barrel shotgun in a business accosted a female clerk counting receipts, took cash from the clerk's pocket and ordered her to hand over all the cash. The clerk complied. One of the males attempted to speak in Spanish.

SNOWDEN RIVER PKWY., 8600 block, 11:40 p.m. Oct. 16. Three males armed with what appeared to be a shotgun in a doughnut shop ordered employees and customers to the floor. The assailants then entered an office by force and took cash.

TWIN RIVERS RD., 10400 block, 10:50 p.m. Oct. 16. Two males struck a 17-year old male pedestrian, forced him to the ground and robbed him of cash.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BERGER RD., 9200 block, 5:48 a.m. Oct. 16. Cash was stolen from a business entered by breaking a front door glass.

BROKEN LAND PKWY., 9800 block, 9:30 p.m. Oct. 19. Two computer monitors were stolen from a business entered by shattering a front glass door.

COLUMBIA 100 PKWY., 8800 block, 3:30 p.m. Oct. 13 to 7:13 a.m. Oct. 14. Tools were stolen from a construction site shed.

DEEPAGE DR., 7000 block, 4:54 a.m. Oct. 16. Cash was stolen from an office at a restaurant entered by forcing a side window.

HARPERS FARM RD., 5300 block, Oct. 8 to 10:08 p.m. Oct. 14. An attempt was made to enter an apartment by forcing a front door lock.

HARPERS FARM RD., 5400 bock, 4 p.m. Oct. 12 to 6 p.m. Oct. 14. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing a door.

HARPERS FARM RD., 5900 block, 1:25 to 12:45 p.m. Oct. 13. A man was seen in a restricted office area and was confronted by an employee. The man said he was looking for someone. A short time later, a label maker was reported missing.

KERRY HILL CT., 7300 block. Prior to leaving a residence, a male resident saw several juveniles outside who were looking for the resident's daughter. The resident left and returned later to discover cash, two portable CD players, CDs, a portable phone and medication were stolen. The residence was entered through a rear unlocked sliding door.

OWEN BROWN RD., 10300 block, 11:30 a.m. Oct. 15 to 8:45 a.m. Oct. 16. Keys were stolen and fire extinguishers were discharged in a shed at a business entered through a sliding glass door.

PIRATES COVE, 9300 block, 8:45 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. Oct. 19. A surround-sound stereo system, an electronic game and video games were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a rear window.

SHINING ROCK, 6100 block, 12:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19. A DVD player and two rings were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a rear kitchen window with a rock.

WINGBORNE CT., 5400 block, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 18. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked side door.

WIND RIDER WAY, 6300 block, 9:38 a.m. Oct. 19. An attempt was made to steal a vehicle.

WOODPARK LANE, 7600 block, 12:28 p.m. Oct. 16. A 1994 Plymouth Sundance was stolen.

ROBBERIES

OLD WATERLOO RD., 6900 block, 6:45 p.m. Oct. 13. A person grabbed a female and dragged her into a wooded area. A struggle ensued, and the female was robbed of cash before she broke free and fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE, 8300 block, 2:22 a.m. Oct. 15. A back door was forced open at a gas station. Nothing was reported stolen.

BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE, 9100 block, 4:54 a.m. Oct. 16. Cash was stolen from a fast-food restaurant entered by forcing a rear window.

OAK GREEN CIR., 3000 block, 5:45 to 8:45 p.m. Oct. 16. A TV and stereo equipment were stolen from a ground-floor apartment entered by forcing a window.

SHEPPARD LANE, 5000 block, 5:45 p.m. Oct. 18 to 5:30 a.m. Oct. 19. Cash was stolen from an office trailer entered by force.

PATUXENT RANGE RD., 8200 block, 7 p.m. Oct. 14 to 8:30 a.m. Oct. 15. A white 2003 International box truck and a white 2004 Intel box truck were stolen.

STAYTON DR., 8200 block, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 16. A white 1994 GMC Topkick truck was stolen.

WASHINGTON BLVD., 7600 block, 5 to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 15. A burgundy 1992 Buick Regal was stolen.
