What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"I have been a resident of the district most of my life. My son returned

from Iraq on Sept. 11, 2004; I know the needs of the active military and

veterans. We must stop illegal immigration now. I am aware of the

regulations, taxes and health care issues small businesses are facing.

Young families and seniors are concerned about safe neighborhoods and affordable health care. My family faces these same issues. I will work to bring common sense to Washington. My campaign is based on faith, family and freedom for the future, and I will defend and protect America and Americans."

Why should voters elect you?

"I've been raised here, raised my family here, worked, paid taxes and voted here. I know the district, people and issues. Love God and country."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"Our current fiscal policies have plunged our country further into debt. This debt and our growing deficit will negatively impact current and future generations. The growing deficit means less education funding, less money for health care, and less resources for our armed forces and our homeland security. What we need is a true economic program that works. We need to put money back into the pockets of middle-class America. We need tax cuts for businesses to hire new workers and to contain the rising cost of health care. Sound fiscal policy is the only way to grow and protect our country."

Why should voters elect you?

"I support our troops and their families with programs like Operation Hero Miles. I will fight for the district, the state and our nation."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"Like all Americans, citizens in the 2nd District face a radically altered energy future. We're running out of oil, and all fossil fuels cause global warming. Using clean, renewable energy sources, like solar, wind and biomass, we can create a future for ourselves and our children that's cleaner, safer and more secure. By building an America that's energy independent and the global leader in clean energy, we'll not only create thousands of high-quality jobs, improve our trade deficit and engender goodwill, we'll also break the grip of OPEC and the multinational energy companies on our nation and our future."

Why should voters elect you?

"Because I'm not a professional politician. I'm a thoughtful, intelligent and involved citizen. And unlike my opponents, I accept no money from corporate special interests."
