THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ARLINGTON RD., 7200 block, 8:30 p.m. Oct. 12 to 8:56 a.m. Oct. 13. A front window of a shop was broken. Nothing was reported missing.

BUTLER RD., 4:50 to 5:15 p.m. Oct. 10. A fire extinguisher and a gumball machine were stolen from a business entered through a window pried open on the roof.

DORSET AVE., 5500 block. A glass panel was broken at a residence. Nothing was taken.

DUVALL RD., 5200 block, 2:15 to 2:42 a.m. Oct. 14. A flat-screen computer monitor stolen was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked side door.

HAMPDEN LANE, 4900 block, 12 noon Oct. 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct 12. A sleeping bag and a blanket were stolen from a business entered through a basement window.

ST. ELMO AVE., 4900 block, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11 to 2 a.m. Oct 12. Cash was stolen from a business entered through a front door.

WISCONSIN AVE., 7500 block, 6:30 p.m. Oct. 11 to 9 a.m. Oct. 12. Computer equipment and digital cameras were stolen from a business entered by prying a look of a door. .

WOODMONT AVE., 7100 block, 2 a.m. Oct. 13. A man was charged with second-degree burglary and theft under $500 in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

Germantown District

ASSAULTS

FREDERICK AVE. N., 200 block, 12:48 p.m. Oct. 17. A Germantown woman, 30, was charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment in connection with an incident at the above location.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

SWEET MEADOW LANE, 20100 block, 8:45 a.m. to 3:05 p.m. Oct. 7. A Chevrolet Suburban, jewelry, camera, a video camera, electronic games and a recycling bin were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked garage door.

WILLOW SPRING CIR., 12500 block, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 7. An attempt was made to enter a residence by prying open the basement door.

Gaithersburg District

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

GAITHERSBURG AREA, Sept. 9. A man raped a female relative on Sept. 3. Gaithersburg man, 41, was charged with rape, second-degree rape, child abuse and first-degree sexual offense.

ASSAULTS

FREDERICK ST. N., 200 block, 1:50 p.m. Oct. 11. Two males removed property from the store of a Gaithersburg man, 33, and put it in their vehicle. The store owner grabbed one of the males, but let him go when he threatened him with a knife. Both males fled in the vehicle driven by a female.

ORCHARD DR., 1 to 100 block, 11 a.m. Oct. 13. Three males demanded cash from a Gaithersburg pedestrian, 17, who said he had no money. One of the robbers pulled out a knife and cut the boy as he defended himself. The robbers fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

DARNESTOWN RD., 12100 block, 1:52 to 1:59 a.m. Oct. 14. A panel was broken out of the garage bay door of a business. Nothing was reported taken.

DUVALL LANE, 7:45 a.m. to 6:35 p.m. Oct 11. A house was entered. Nothing was reported taken.

FREDERICK AVE. S., 400 block, 4:11 a.m. Oct. 13. Cash and telephone cards were stolen from a business entered by breaking a front door.

GIANTSTEP PL., 8300 block, 7:30 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. Oct. 13. Jewelry, alcohol, a suitcase, starting gun and an antique, non-functioning revolver were stolen from a residence possibly entered through an unlocked front door.

GRAZING TER., 9300 block, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 12. A video game system and a game, clothing and shoes were stolen from a residence entered by kicking in a front door.

KING JAMES WAY, 17000 block, 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Oct. 11. A video camera, two video game systems and controllers, and video games were stolen from a residence entered through a sliding back door.

QUINCE ORCHARD RD., 600 block, 6:45 p.m. Oct. 13 to 7 a.m. Oct 14. Cash and telephone cards were stolen from a building entered by breaking a front glass door.

QUINCE ORCHARD RD., 600 block, 7 p.m. Oct. 13 to 6:50 a.m. Oct. 14. The glass was broken out of the front door. Nothing was reported taken.

RAINBOW VIEW PL., 8200 block, 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 12. Antique gold watches with chains were stolen from a residence entered by breaking glass in a back door.

SAYBROOK VIEW DR., 400 block, 3:51 p.m. Sept. 26. A bicycle was stolen from a garage.

SHADY PINE CIR., 8500 block, 8:40 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. Oct. 13. Cash, a DVD player, jewelry, luggage, tools and liquor were stolen from a residence entered through a rear basement window that was pried open.

TERI DR., 17900 block, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11 to 8:15 a.m. Oct. 12. Cash, a compressor and chain saw were stolen from an unlocked carport shed.

PEEPING TOM INCIDENTS

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE AREA, Aug. 4. A woman, 19, reported a man with his hand inside his pants looking through her sliding glass door.

Rockville District

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

ROCKVILLE AREA, July 13 to July 15. A Rockville woman, 34, reported she had been sexually assaulted twice by a man from whom she had purchased a vehicle.

ASSAULTS

SOUTHLAWN LANE, 1500 block, 5:15 p.m. Oct. 13. A Monrovia man, 43, at work at the above location approached a male and asked him what he was doing. The male replied in an incoherent manner and was asked to leave. As he was leaving, he pulled out a machete and swung it at the Monrovia man who was not hurt.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

LARKMEADE TER., 8300 block, 12 noon Oct. 5 to 12 noon Oct. 11. A residence was entered through a window. Nothing was taken.

Silver Spring District

INDECENT EXPOSURE

FIRST AVENUE AND FENWICK LANE, 3:28 p.m. Oct. 12. A Laurel woman, 51, attempted to turn her car from First Avenue on to Fenwick Lane. A man crossing Fenwick Lane yelled at her, then dropped his shorts and exposed his buttocks.

SILVER SPRING AREA, Oct. 10. Two girls, ages 9 and 10, were in front of one of their residences when a male unzipped his pants and exposed himself.

ASSAULTS

TEAGARDEN CIR., 3300 block, 4:25 p.m. Oct. 11. A Silver Spring woman, 26, and a Silver Spring man, 23 were charged with first- and second-degree assault in connection with an incident at the above location.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 8600 block, 6:50 to 7 p.m. Oct. 11. A Silver Spring man, 46, was charged with first- and second-degree assault in connection with an incident at the above location.

ROBBERIES

NEWELL ST., 8000 block, 10:57 p.m. Oct. 13. Two males and two females assaulted a Burtonsville man, 45, and took his vehicle.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CASTLE BLVD., 13900 block, 12:35 to 4:10 p.m. Oct 10. Cash was stolen from a residence possibly entered through a window.

FAIRLAND RD., 3000 block, 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 6. Cash was stolen from a residence entered by prying a window.

FINCH ST., 2700 block, 12 noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 8. DVD players, a leather jacket and jewelry were stolen from a residence.

HAMILTON AVE. E., 1:15 to 4 p.m. Oct. 9. A laptop computer, DVD player, camera and bicycle were stolen from a residence was entered through a sliding glass back door.

MOSS AVE., 9900 block, 12:45 to 2:45 p.m. Oct. 12. The glass was broken out of the front door. Nothing was reported taken.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 8600 block, 8 to 11 p.m. Oct. 11. A computer, a printer, a TV, CDs and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a pane of glass in a door.

READING RD., 7 p.m. Oct 12 to 5:15 p.m. Oct 14. Cameras and telephones were stolen from a building entered by cutting a window screen in a side patio.

SECOND AVE., 8500 block, 5:15 p.m. Oct. 14. A stereo system and a DVD player were stolen from a building entered through an unlocked sliding door.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

WHEATON AREA, Oct. 16. A girl, 15, reported she had been sexually assaulted by someone she knew. The case was under investigation.

MONROE ST., 100 block, 10:15 p.m. Oct. 16. A Rockville girl, 13, was charged with attempted aggravated assault in connection with an incident at the above location.

ADCLARE RD., 1 to 100 block, 8:30-9:30 p.m. Oct. 14. Items were stolen from a purse.

ANNA CT., 1 to 100 block, 2 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 10. A wallet was stolen from a vehicle.

CORAL SEA DR., 1300 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 11. Power lawn tools, hand tools, gasoline containers and lights were stolen from a shed.

DAWSON AVE., 200 block, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 16. A wallet was stolen from a vehicle.

ELMCROFT CT., 1 to100 block, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 10. Jewelry, checks and cigarettes were stolen from a residence.

FORBES ST., 1600 block, 5:30 p.m. Oct. 15 to 1 p.m. Oct. 16. A spotlight was stolen from a residence.

HUNGERFORD RD., 600 block, 10:50 a.m. Oct 12. A Germantown boy, 14, was charged Oct. 12 with theft in connection with an incident at the above location.

LEWIS AVE., 2200 block, 5:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. Oct. 15. A business was entered through a garage door and tools were stolen.

LINCOLN ST., 200 block, 7:15 a.m. Oct. 14 to 1 p.m. Oct. 15. An attempt was made to pry open a back door of a residence.

MANNAKEE ST., 200 block, 12:48 p.m. Oct. 13 to 11 a.m. Oct. 14. A residence was entered by cutting a screen and going through an unlocked window. Jewelry, a stereo and other property were stolen.

MAPLE AVE., 100 block, 10 p.m. Oct. to 9:15 a.m. Oct 13. Several sections of gutter were stolen from a residence.

MIDDLE LANE W., 1 to 100 block, 9:27 p.m. Oct. 11. A Gaithersburg man, 39, was charged Oct. 11 with theft in connection with an incident at the above location.

OAK KNOLL DR., 600 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 9 to 6 a.m. Oct. 11. A residence was entered through a garage door and an appliance and household fixtures were stolen.

PICCARD DRIVE AND GAITHER ROAD, 4 p.m. Oct. 9. to 7 a.m. Oct. 11. Lumber was stolen from a construction site.

PINEWOOD RD., 500 block, 7 p.m. Oct. 13. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.

RESEARCH BLVD., 2200 block, 6:30 p.m. Oct. 9 to 7:30 a.m. Oct. 11. A business was entered through a front door and two laptop computers were stolen.

RICHARD MONTGOMERY DR., 200 block, 11 a.m. Oct. 12. A purse was stolen from a locker room.

ROCKLAND AVE., 1900 block, 2 to 3:30 a.m. Oct. 15. A residence was entered through front and back doors and three watches and a check were stolen.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1500 block, 3:27 p.m. Oct 15. Aspirin, sports cream and a brace were stolen from a store.

VEIRS MILL RD., 2000 block, 12:15-12:20 p.m. Oct. 17. A motor scooter was stolen from a business.

VILLAGE SQUARE TER., 12400 block, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Oct. 12. A wallet was stolen from a bag in a classroom.
