The D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation will sponsor free, supervised Halloween events for children in every ward of the city. Children should come in costume and will be offered a chance to play games and be given candy. The events, which start tomorrow and run through Sunday, are designed to be a safe alternative to going door to door to trick-or-treat on Halloween.
