Public May Address Board

The Howard County Board of Education's meetings at 4 and 7:30 p.m. today will include a forum for residents to speak about any topic other than those for which there's a formal public hearing.

During the evening meeting, David Drown, coordinator for geographical information systems, will present the proposed boundary line adjustments for the 2005-06 school year. For more information or to sign up to speak, call the board's executive assistant at 410-313-7197.

'Rumors' at Atholton

Atholton High School's Drama Department will present Neil Simon's "Rumors," a comedy about an eccentric dinner party, at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 4-7 and 3 p.m. Nov. 7 at the school, 6520 Freetown Rd., Columbia.

Columbia Poster Contest

The Columbia Association, the Howard County Office of Public Information and Corridor Transportation, which operates Howard Transit, are sponsoring a poster contest for Columbia middle and high school students to celebrate Black History Month.

The winning posters will be displayed on the sides of county buses throughout February.

To be eligible, students must be Columbia residents. All artwork should be based on the theme "Images of Freedom" and contain no controversial language.
