The Patuxent High School Harlequins will present Thornton Wilder's "Our Town" in three performances today through Saturday. The first act in this year's Performing Arts Series, sponsored by the Arts Council of Calvert County and the Calvert Library, will feature the Shangri-La Chinese Acrobats, a high-energy show of acrobatic displays, feats of daring and balance, kung fu, brilliant costumes and Chinese comedy. Veterans Day Parade
More than 4,000 participants are expected for the Veterans Day parade next Thursday in Leonardtown. The parade, which will begin at 10 a.m. on Washington Street, will feature veterans, dignitaries, elected officials, marching bands, military units, color guards, bagpipers, Native American dancers, classic and antique cars, Boy and Girl Scout troops, cheerleaders, horses, motorcycles and fire, police and emergency equipment. After the parade, a memorial ceremony and wreath laying will be held on the Town Square. The celebration is sponsored by the commissioners of Leonardtown and St. Mary's County. 301-475-9791.
