St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 522 Main St., Laurel, will host a peace forum from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 13 in its Wyatt Ministry Center. Maureen Shea, director of the Episcopal Church office of government relations, and Warren Clark, board member of the Peace Commission of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, D.C., will give a lecture, "Speaking Truth to Power: How Our Religious Witness Affects the Political Process in Washington." The Christian German American Women's Group of Maryland will hold its November meeting at noon Nov. 15 in the fellowship hall of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Odenton, Odenton Road and Piney Orchard Parkway, Odenton.
