ROBBERIES

HERON RIDGE DR., 12700 block, 8:30 a.m. Oct. 29. A man with a handgun grabbed a bag from a woman who was about to get into a car with her husband. A second man robbed the husband of his wallet, cell phone and keys. As the robbers were getting into another vehicle, one fired a bullet, striking a townhouse. No injuries were reported.

ROBBERIES

CLAMES DR., 6000 block, 4:30 a.m. Nov. 4. A gunman ordered a 58-year-old man out of the front seat of his 2003 black Lincoln and into the back seat, where another gunman joined him. The vehicle was driven to a bus stop, where a male and a female got into the car. The vehicle was then driven to a nearby church parking lot, where the victim was ordered out of the car and robbed of cash and other items. He was then punched in the face, and the robbers fled in his car.

DANA AVE., 6200 block, 6:30 p.m. Oct. 31. A man robbed a 23-year-old woman of a purse and cash just after she got out of a bus.

HILLARY ST., 7200block, 12:15 a.m. Nov. 2. Three men approached a 29-year-old man using a cell phone and punched him and pushed him to the ground. They took his wallet and fled on foot. The victim reportedly received minor facial injuries.

ROSE HILL DR., 6200 block, 9:10 p.m. Nov. 1. Two men, one with a knife, robbed a 16-year-old male pedestrian of cash. The youth was cut with the knife, and the robbers fled on foot. The victim reportedly refused medical treatment.

ASSAULTS

DOLLEY MADISON BLVD., 1200 block, 11 p.m. Oct. 30. A 33-year-old man was struck with a BB pellet while walking to his car. The victim and three witnesses chased and stopped two males, and a third male appeared and assaulted one of the men assisting the victim. Police arrived and arrested three men. A 20-year-old McLean area man was charged with malicious wounding, conspiracy to commit a felony and assault by mob. Two Falls Church area men, ages 19 and 20, were charged with malicious wounding, conspiracy to commit a felony, assault and assault by mob. The victim reportedly was not seriously injured.

ROBBERIES

LEE HWY., 7400 block, 10 p.m. Nov. 1. A police detective on patrol saw three men following a male pedestrian while putting on gloves and showing gang paraphernalia. He saw one man show a handgun while the other two robbed the pedestrian of cash. The detective surprised the robbers and caught the armed man after a short foot chase. Other officers and a K-9 unit located a second man. A third man escaped. A 23-year-old man of no fixed address and a 19-year-old Falls Church area man were charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and gang participation.

WILCOXSON DR., 3900 block, 10:05 a.m. Oct. 27. A Harley Davidson motorcycle, reported stolen from Arlington County, was recovered.

VANDALISM

ARLINGTON BLVD., 9500 block, 1:50 a.m. Oct. 30. Three people were asked to leave a restaurant. An employee noticed that they returned in a car a short time later, then left a short time later. The employee discovered that the front and rear windows of a parked vehicle had been smashed. Police were called, and an investigation revealed that one of the people in the vehicle allegedly damaged the parked vehicle. A 25-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with destruction of property.

DANIELS RUN PARK, 11:33 a.m. Oct. 27. Graffiti was scratched into a plastic slide in a playground area of a park.

LEE HWY., 9900 block, 3 to 8 a.m. Oct. 31. Graffiti was spray-painted on an exterior wall of a business.

WASHINGTON ST. N., 400 block, 4:20 p.m. Oct. 29. A person in a bank became disorderly and assaulted the bank manager after a disagreement about cashing a check. A 40-year-old Alexandria man was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct.

BROAD ST. W., 1100 block, 6:53 p.m. Oct. 29. A male wearing a disguise handed a note to a bank teller announcing a robbery. The teller gave him cash, and he fled on foot.

BROAD ST. W., 400 block, noon Oct. 20 to 8:19 p.m. Oct. 28. Six business checks were stolen from a construction company's office and cashed in three area locations.

BROAD ST. W., 900 block, 10 to 11:46 p.m. Oct. 27. Cash, a debit card and a driver's license were stolen from a purse in a restaurant.

BROAD ST. W., 900 block, 7:15 p.m. Oct. 28 to 7:01 a.m. Oct. 29. Cash was stolen from a dry cleaning business entered through a roof vent.

PATRICK ST. SE, 100 block, 7 p.m. Oct. 29 to 10 a.m. Oct. 30. A radio/CD player and a speaker were stolen from a vehicle at an apartment building. The vehicle was entered by forcing a window.

VALEVIEW CT. NW, 300 block, 12:30 to 7:48 a.m. Nov. 1. Construction tools were stolen from an addition being built onto a residence, and an unlocked vehicle was ransacked.

VANDALISM

CHERRY ST. SE, 100 block, 11 to 11:45 a.m. Nov. 2. A side mirror was broken off a vehicle at a community center.

MAPLE AVE. E., 300 block, 6:45 p.m. Oct. 27. A vehicle was scratched.
