ROBBERIES

METROPOLITAN CENTER DR., 6700 block, 1:30 a.m. Nov. 9. Three men, one with a handgun, followed a 20-year-old man in a parking lot of an apartment complex and robbed him of a wallet and a case of CDs. One robber struck the man on the head with the gun, knocking him down.

ABBOTTSBURY ROW, 6200 block. Jewelry was stolen from a business.

BLAND ST., 6800 block. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.

BRAMPTON CT., 6300 block. A stereo and tools were stolen from a vehicle.

COMMERCE ST., 7200 block. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.

FRANCONIA RD., 6500 block, 3 a.m. Nov. 6. Police, responding to an alarm at a high school, found that the school kitchen had been ransacked, food had been eaten, and windows had been broken. A school security officer stopped three youths; one assaulted him, and they ran. No injuries were reported.

FRANCONIA RD., 6100 block. Cigarettes were stolen from a business.

FRANCONIA RD., 6200 block. Gas was stolen from a service station.

ASSAULTS

GLEN CARLYN ROAD AND BELLVIEW DRIVE, 2:45 a.m. Nov. 7. Four men assaulted two men near a convenience store. One man was hit in the face with a bottle and received cuts.

VISTA DR., 6000 block, 3:40 a.m. Nov. 6. Two men assaulted two male pedestrians. One of the men used a bicycle chain during the attack. One of the victims was treated at a hospital for facial cuts.

ROBBERIES

ANNANDALE RD., 4000 block, 10:10 p.m. Nov. 6. Three men, one with a gun, got out of a white sport utility vehicle in front of a man parking his car. They forced him out of his car and robbed him of cash and a laptop computer, then fled in their vehicle. No injuries were reported.

BEAUREGARD ST., 4900 block, 4:30 p.m. Nov. 4. Two men in a taxi showed knives and robbed the driver of cash, then fled on foot. The driver reportedly received minor injuries.

LEE HWY., 7600 block, 8:10 p.m. Nov. 5. A man with a fake gun robbed a 48-year-old male pedestrian of cash, then struck him several times with the object, which broke into pieces. The victim reportedly received minor injuries.

ASSAULTS

BUCKMAN ROAD AND GROOMBRIDGE WAY, 10:15 p.m. Nov. 6. A woman slapped a police officer in the face when the officer tried to resolve an argument between two people. An 18-year-old Springfield woman was charged with assaulting an officer.

ROBBERIES

RICHMOND HIGHWAY AND BUCKMAN ROAD, 10 p.m. Nov. 4. Four males jumped on a 21-year-old male pedestrian from behind and robbed him of a wallet.

WOODLAWN GREEN CIR., 5700 block, 6 p.m. Nov. 4. A man with a knife demanded cash from a 24-year-old man. When the victim pulled a roll of dollar bills from his pocket, the man fled on foot empty-handed.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BOUND BROOK LANE, 8300 block, 6 p.m. Nov. 4. A woman armed with a baseball bat forced her way into a residence and attacked a 34-year-old woman. The intruder also armed herself with a handgun that was inside the residence, then fled in a vehicle with two other women. Police found the vehicle and arrested all three. A 32-year-old District woman was charged with burglary and attempted malicious wounding. Two District woman, ages 33 and 32, were charged with attempted malicious wounding. The resident received non-life-threatening injuries.

GEORGETOWN PIKE, 9600 block, 6:44 a.m. Nov. 10. Three or four masked men broke into a residence, tied up two women, ages 54 and 32, and two children, ages 4 and 5, and took cash and other items. One of the women escaped and asked a neighbor to call police. The victims reportedly received minor injuries.

BRADWATER ST., 3900 block, Nov. 4 to Nov. 5. Several items were stolen from a vehicle in front of a residence.

CHAIN BRIDGE RD., 3900 block, 1:50 a.m. Nov. 5. A police officer observed a woman who appeared to be concealing something under her arm while walking through a parking lot. An investigation revealed that she had allegedly stolen three drinking glasses from a nearby restaurant. A 21-year-old Fairfax woman was charged with petty theft.

FAIRCHESTER DR., 10800 block, Oct. 16 to Nov. 6. A circular saw was stolen from a shed at a residence.

FAIRVIEW DR., 3900 block, 3 to 4 p.m. Oct. 31. A tan miniature Doberman pinscher was stolen from a yard of a residence.

JAMES SWART CIR., 11200 block, 6 to 9:25 p.m. Nov. 7. Several items were stolen from a vehicle at a restaurant.

LEE HWY., 10200 block, Nov. 3 to Nov. 4. A stereo was stolen from a vehicle at an auto dealership. The vehicle was entered by breaking a window.

LEE HWY., 11100 block, 12:24 p.m. Nov. 7. Gas was stolen from a service station.

MAIN ST., 11100 block, Nov. 3 to Nov. 4. The windows of seven vehicles were broken, and stereos were stolen from the vehicles.

OAK PL., 10500 block, 8:50 a.m. Nov. 4. Police were called about a man attempting to break into a residence. Officers found a homeless man in front of a nearby residence; he had been looking for a place to sleep. The man had allegedly stolen cell phone equipment from an unlocked vehicle. A 33-year-old man was charged with attempted burglary, vehicle tampering and petty theft.

OLD LEE HWY., 3200 block, 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Nov. 6. Two jackets left on a chair in a business were stolen.

OLD LEE HWY., 3200 block, 4:30 to 9:45 p.m. Nov. 4. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

OLD LEE HWY., 3500 block, 10:40 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 27. An Apple iPod was stolen from a backpack on top of a locker at a high school.

ROANOKE ST., 3100 block, Nov. 4 to Nov. 5. Stereos were stolen from three vehicles at an auto body shop.

UNIVERSITY DR., 3800 block, Nov. 4 to Nov. 9. Several items were stolen from a storage shed behind a business.

WARWICK AVE., 10500 block, Oct. 31 to Nov. 1. Cash was stolen from a vending machine at an auto dealership.

WILLARD WAY, 10300 block, 12:30 to 1 p.m. Nov. 3. Two women in a parking lot of a grocery store persuaded a woman to withdraw cash from her bank account after saying they would invest her cash in bonds that they had found in an envelope. The victim was driven to an office building, where one con artist said she would take the money to her boss to do " the paperwork." The woman returned to the car and told the victim to go into the office building to sign paperwork. The victim was unable to locate the office and when she returned to the lot, the women were gone.

LAYTON HALL DR., 10300 block, 9:40 p.m. Nov. 6. A vehicle reported stolen from Fairfax County was recovered in a parking lot.

LEE HWY., 10900 block, 8:02 p.m. Nov. 3. A red GMC Yukon Denali was stolen from the wash bay of an auto dealership.

MAIN ST., 11100 block, Oct. 1 to Nov. 3. A white 2005 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition was stolen from an auto dealership.

VANDALISM

DEMOCRACY LANE, 10300 block, Nov. 6 to Nov. 8. Eggs were thrown at a front door of a business.

LEE HWY., 10900 block, Sept. 30 to Nov. 3. Graffiti was spray-painted on several vehicles and a trash bin was vandalized.

LITTLE BROOK LANE, 11000 block, Nov. 4 to Nov. 5. Whipped cream was sprayed on a vehicle in front of a residence.

UNIVERSITY DR., 3900 block, 12:10 a.m. Nov. 5. A man punched a window of a restaurant, breaking it, during an argument with another man. A 21-year-old Oakton man was charged with destruction of property.
