ROBBERIES

CAM COURT AND SPRUELL DRIVE, 8:50 p.m. Oct. 31. A male passenger got out of a car and demanded money from a 14-year-old boy. The boy told him he had no money and the motorist grabbed him and began choking him. He demanded money a second time and the boy repeated that he had no money. The assailant got back in the car and left.

WISCONSIN AVE., 7500 block, 9:15 a.m. Nov. 1. A man in a bank gave the only teller on duty a note. The teller gave the man cash and the robber fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ARLINGTON RD., 7100 block, 1:15 to 9 a.m. Oct. 31. Cash and a safe were stolen from a business entered by breaking a window.

BLACKISTONE RD., 5300 block, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 27. A laptop computer, a video game system and games were stolen from a residence.

CUMBERLAND AVE., 4900 block, 10:20 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Oct. 29. Cash, a safe, jewelry and a bag were stolen from a residence entered through a basement door.

DANIEL DR., 2800 block, midnight Oct. 25 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 31. A side window of a residence was pried off. Nothing was reported missing.

DUNLOP ST., 3600 block, 12:15 to 12:20 p.m. Oct. 31. Chicken and beer were stolen from an open garage.

GREENTREE RD., 6600 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 26 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 27. A rear window of a residence was opened. Nothing was reported missing.

JAMESTOWN RD., 4500 block, 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. Oct. 25. A bike was stolen from an open garage.

METROPOLITAN AVE., 10500 block, 6:15 p.m. Oct. 29 to 10 a.m. Oct. 30. A forced entry was made into a business. Nothing was reported missing.

MONTGOMERY MALL, 10 p.m. Oct. 30 to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 31. Computers, cameras and locks were stolen from a department store storage area entered by breaking through a wall.

OLD GEORGETOWN RD., 11700 block, 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 26. Portable TVs and a clock-radio-CD player were stolen from a residence.

ROCKLEDGE DR., 6400 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 29 to 6:30 a.m. Nov. 1. A lock was pried on the front door of a medical building. Nothing was reported missing.

WAVERLY AVE., 4600 block, 7 p.m. Oct. 22 to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 1. A front door of a residence was broken. Nothing was reported missing.

WESTBARD AVE., 5400 block, 2 p.m. Oct. 29 to 1 a.m. Oct. 30. Electric car models and radio remote controls were stolen from a residence entered by force.

PEEPING TOM INCIDENTS

ROCK CREEK AREA, 10:45 p.m. Oct. 30. A couple preparing for bed saw a man in a tree outside a second-floor window. He remained in the tree for three to five minutes, then climbed down and walked into the woods.

VANDALISM

RADNOR RD., 7000 block, 4:30 p.m. Oct. 29 to 6:30 a.m. Nov. 1. The door to an electrical utility shed at an elementary school was pried open and power to portable classrooms cut off.

Germantown District

ASSAULT

LAYTONSVILLE RD, 5400 block, 11 p.m. Oct. 29. A Germantown woman, 53, was assaulted by an adult male acquaintance at the above location. A man was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault and violation of a protection order.

ROBBERIES

MATENY ROAD AND CHERRY WOOD PLACE, 2:50 p.m. Nov. 3. Three boys demanded cash from two Germantown male pedestrians, both 14. The pedestrians said they had no money, but would go to a friend's house and get some. At the acquaintance's house, they called police. Three boys were arrested and charged with attempted robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CHERRY BEND TER., 13000 block, 10:11 a.m. Nov. 2. A residence was entered. Two Gaithersburg boys, ages 15 and 16, were arrested and charged with burglary.

EDWARDS FERRY RD., 17300 block, 11 a.m. to noon Nov. 1. A residence was entered through a basement window. Nothing was reported missing.

FREDERICK RD., 21400 block, 4:30 p.m. Oct. 29. to 6:30 a.m. Nov. 1. Equipment was stolen from a construction trailer.

SANDSFIELD TER., 20300 block, 8:35 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 4. Electronic equipment was stolen from a residence.

WATKINS MEADOW DR., 20500 block, 7:15 a.m. to noon Nov. 2. Two suitcases and a garbage bag full of property were stolen from a residence and left by the residence's front door.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

GAITHERSBURG AREA, Oct. 24. A Pennsylvania man reported he was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance. An investigation was continuing.

ASSAULTS

QUINCE ORCHARD SHOPPING CENTER, 1 p.m. Nov. 2. Three men approached a Gaithersburg man, 19, seated outside a coffee shop and engaged him in conversation. One of the men struck the Gaithersburg man in the face with brass knuckles. He was treated at a hospital for a facial cut.

ROBBERIES

MARSTON LANE, 9600 block, 9:29 p.m. Nov. 4. Two men grabbed a book bag of a woman, 41. After a struggle, she let go of the bag and fell. The men fled.

QUAIL VALLEY BLVD., 19000 block, 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 2. A boy assaulted a 15-year-old pedestrian, forced him to the ground and took cash and a wallet. The pedestrian asked for his money back and the assailant gave some of the money to a third youth who handed it to the boy.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

LABELLE LANE, 9200 block, 8 a.m. to 5:26 p.m. Nov. 3. An attempt was made to enter a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

Rockville District

ROBBERIES

MONROE ST., 600 block, 4:20 a.m. Oct. 30. A gunman confronted a Rockville woman, 20, sitting in a parked car and demanded her purse. She complied. The gunman grabbed a wallet from a second occupant of the vehicle, then fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

LAMPLIGHTER LANE, 11000 block, 9 a.m. Sept. 2 to 9 a.m. Oct. 29. Jewelry and a violin were stolen from a residence.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

GEORGIA AVENUE AREA. A woman reported she was raped by two acquaintances An investigation was continuing.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 8200 to 8600 block, 10:30 p.m. Nov. 6. A man grabbed the buttocks of a woman.

ASSAULTS

GARLAND AVE., 8600 block, 1:49 a.m. Nov. 7. Three men were drinking in an apartment when a fight broke out. One man hit another man over the head with a beer bottle. The man who was hit then broke a vase over his assailant's head. The assailant left.

ROBBERIES

SLIGO AVE., 600 block, 12:30 a.m. Nov. 7. Two men assaulted a Rockville man, 54, sleeping in his vehicle in a parking lot. They punched him in the chin and took cash from his wallet, then fled. The man was taken to a hospital and treated for injuries.

SMITH VILLAGE RD., 1300 block, 8:45 p.m. Nov. 1. A male resident entered his home with two male acquaintances and one of them took a steak knife from a kitchen drawer and put it to the throat of the resident's female relative, 39. The other acquaintance dumped the woman's purse on the floor and removed the cash. All three males then fled. The woman had scratches on her neck and forearm.

CASTLE BLVD, 13800 block, 8 a.m. to 7:50 p.m. Nov. 2. A video game system, games and a large amount of school supplies were stolen from a residence.

COLONY RD., 100 block, 6 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Oct. 2. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a residence.

GEORGIA AVE., 8200 block, 8:30 to 10 a.m. Nov. 3. A forced entry was made into a business. Nothing was reported missing.

GREENBRIER DR., 400 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 30 to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 3. A laptop computer, a cradle and a watch were stolen from a residence.

MEADOWHILL RD., 10800 block, 7:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Nov. 2. Cash, a camera, a watch, a telephone, computer equipment, walkie talkies, a video game system and accessories were stolen from a residence entered through a back window.

PORRINGER CT., 14100 block, 6:30 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. Nov. 2. Cash, a DVD player, a hand-held radio, a basket and soda were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a rear window.

VENETIA MILL CIR., 10700 block, 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 4. A suitcase was stolen from a residence.

VENETIA MILL CIR., 10700 block, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 4. A video game system and games, and a hand-held game and games were stolen from a residence.

VENETIA MILL CIR., 10700 block, 9:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Nov. 4. A video game system and candy were stolen from a residence.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

BONIFANT STREET AND COLESVILLE ROAD, 4:50 p.m. Oct. 28. A man sitting on a bench at a bus stop removed a gym bag from his lap and exposed himself to a Silver Spring woman, 54, who was sitting next to him waiting for a bus. The bus arrived and the woman got on. The man remained at the bus stop.

SILVER SPRING AREA, 5:50 p.m. Nov. 4. A Silver Spring woman, 22, saw a man on the second-floor of a stairwell with his pants down.

Glenmont District

ROBBERIES

NORBECK RD., 5500 block, 10:12 a.m., Nov. 4. A man in a bank handed a note to a teller demanding money. The man then left the bank empty-handed.

THEFTS

BIRCHTREE LANE, 3200 block, 1:15 to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 2. Cash and a laptop computer were stolen from a residence entered though a side window.

CARONA CT., 1 to 100 block, 7:30 a.m. to 2:26 p.m. Oct. 27. A video game system was stolen from a residence entered by kicking in a front door.

CRYSTAL SPRINGS DR., 100 block, 4 p.m. Oct. 28 to 11:45 a.m. Oct. 30. A dirt bike was stolen from an open garage.

LAYHILL RD., 13500 block, 5:30 p.m. Oct. 29 to 6:30 a.m. Nov. 1. A computer and software were stolen from a school.

OLD BALTIMORE RD., 17400 block, 8 p.m. Oct. 20 to 6 a.m. Oct. 22. Cash and champagne were stolen from a residence entered through a broken window.

PAULSON DR., 900 block, 10:50 p.m. Oct. 29. A Rockville boy, 14, was arrested and charge with vandalism in connection with an incident at the above location. He was released to the custody of his father.

HUDSON AVE., 600 block, 8:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 5. A door was damaged in an attempt to enter a residence.

MINTER PL., 7200 block, 5:30 to 11:13 p.m. Nov. 5. An ignition was damaged in a vehicle entered by an unlocked door.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVENUE AND RAY ROAD, 1:25 p.m. Oct. 8. A man was arrested and charged with theft under $500 in connection with an incident at the above location.
