SEVENTH ANNUAL ERIC AND CARA THORN MEMORIAL GOLF TOURAMENT -- 8 a.m. June 17. Eric Thorn, 16, and his sister Cara, 13, died Nov. 17, 1998, in a single-car accident while driving to school. Since then, their family has established a memorial fund that awards scholarships to Calvert County students. To date, $40,000 has been awarded.
