BEECH AVE., 5800 block, 2 p.m. May 4 to 3 p.m. May 19. A residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

GROSVENOR LANE, 10100 block, May 1 to 9:06 May 14. Property was stolen from a residence.

GROSVENOR LANE, 10100 block, May 10 to 11 a.m. May 15. Property was stolen from a residence.

PYLE RD., 7100 block, 6 p.m.. May 13 to 10 a.m. May 14. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

ASSAULTS

OLD BALTIMIORE RD. W., 13700 block, 4:50 p.m. May 17. A man argued with two men, began a fight with one of them and threatened him with a knife. No injuries were reported. An investigation was continuing.

ROBBERIES

RUSSELL AVE., 700 block, 2:45 p.m. May 22. A male in Lakeforest Mall asked a Gaithersburg man, 20, for change, then snatched a $20 bill out of the man's hand. The robber fled out of the mall with the money.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BEATRIZ AVE., 19800 block, noon to 1 p.m. May 16. A residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

CLOPPER RD., 800 block, May 22. A Germantown man was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree assault in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

COMUS RD., 17400 block, 1 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 16. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

CORAL GROVE TERR., 8800 block, 6:45 p.m. May 17. An attempt was made to break into a residence.

LAYTONSVILLE RD., 2400 block, 9:20 to 10:20 a.m. May 16. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

WILDCAT RD., 22700 block, 2:20 a.m. May 15. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

Gaithersburg District

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

GAITHERSBURG AREA, April 20. A Gaithersburg girl, 14, reported that she had consensual sexual relations an acquaintance, 18. An investigation was continuing.

GAITHERSBURG AREA, May 21. A male entered the unlocked window of a residence and attempted to rape a female acquaintance, 14. An investigation was continuing.

PROFESSIONAL DRIVE AREA. A person sexually assaulted a female acquaintance, 44, of Gaithersburg. An investigation was continuing.

ASSAULTS

DEER PARK RD. E., 5:45 p.m. May 20. A man forced a Gaithersburg pedestrian, 15, to the ground at knifepoint. The youth fought back and was able to flee.

RUSSELL AVE., 700 block, 4 p.m. April 5. Two men at a mall threatened to injure a department store's security guard who was trying to detain them. The two then got in a vehicle and fled.

SUMMIT AVE. N., 1 to 100 block, May 14. A Gaithersburg man, 25, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and three counts of second-degree assault in connection with a domestic altercation that occurred at the above location.

ROBBERIES

LOST KNIFE CIR., 18300 block, 1:30 p.m. May 7. A gunman in an apartment with an adult male companion struck a Gaithersburg man, 25, from behind as he was walking down a hallway and demanded money and property from the man. The man fought the robbers, who fled empty-handed.

WATKINS MILL RD., 19200 block, 2:08 a.m. May 23. A man wearing a mask and gloves in a convenience store jumped over a counter and forced a clerk to open two cash registers. The man took cash and cigarettes, then fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

KING JAMES WAY, 17200 block, 10 a.m. to 12:55 p.m. May 19. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

LIME KILN CT., 8600 block, 10:30 p.m. May 6 to 8:30 a.m. May 7. A residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

LUANNE DR., 15900 block, 9 p.m. May 19 to 8 a.m. May 20. Property was stolen from a business entered by force.

MAHOGANY CIR., 15700 block, 3 to 8:30 p.m. May 16. A residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

RUSSELL AVE., 200 block, 2:30 to 3 a.m. May 20. Property was stolen from a pharmacy entered by force.

SCARLET MIST WAY, 13200 block, 9 p.m. May 13 to 6 p.m. May 18. Property was stolen from a residence.

SHADY GROVE RD., 8900 block, 4 p.m. May 19 to 11 a.m. May 20. Property was stolen from a dental office entered by force.

WATER ST., 1 to 100 block, 3 to 6:45 a.m. May 17. Property was stolen from a residence.

Silver Spring District

ASSAULTS

FLOWER AVE., 8700 block, 3:47 p.m. May 17. Five men argued, then began fighting. One of the men stabbed a Silver Spring man as he attempted to run away. The other three men were able to get away from the man with the knife. The Silver Spring man was treated at a local hospital for injuries. An investigation was continuing.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 8600 block, 8:45 a.m. May 21. A woman in her car stabbed a Silver Spring woman, 35, who was also in the car. The Silver Spring woman fled and went to a local hospital. She was treated for injuries.

ROBBERIES

CASTLEGATE AREA, 5 p.m. May 16. Four males at a front door of a residence accosted a girl, 14, who answered the door. One of the males ran away and the other three pushed their way in. They searched the house. The resident, who knew two of them, asked them to leave and they refused, forcing her to the ground and locking the front door. A few minutes later, the intruders left, destroying property outside the house as they fled. An investigation was continuing.

SCHUYLER RD., 100 block, 1:30 a.m. Four males accosted a Silver Spring male pedestrian, 42, and demanded money. The pedestrian kept walking and one of the men hit him over the head with a baseball bat, took cash and fled. The pedestrian was treated at a local hospital for a cut.

STRILEY AND TUCKER DRIVES, 9:45 p.m. A gunman stepped from behind bushes and demanded cash and other property from a Silver Spring pedestrian, 15. The youth complied and the gunman fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BEACON RD, 700 block, 7:20 a.m. May 14. An elementary school was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

COLESVILLE ROAD AND INTERSTATE-495, 4 a.m. May 7 and 8 p.m. May 8. A concrete business office was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

CORNWALL ST., 700 block, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 20. An attempt was made to enter a residence.

FARNELL DR., 12600 block, May 11. Two men, ages 23 and 21, of no fixed address, were arrested and charged with third-degree burglary in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

LAPLATA ST., 12400 block, 6:30 a.m. to 5:40 p.m. May 17. Property was stolen from a residence.

LOCKWOOD DR., 11400 block, 4:30 to 6 p.m. May 18. A residence was broken into. Nothing was reported missing.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 10100 block, 11:36 a.m. May 5. A bank was broken into. Nothing was reported missing.

NEWPORT MILL RD., 11100 block, 12:50 a.m. May 8 to 6:30 a.m. May 9. A high school was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 8800 block, 7:30 a.m. May 12 to 1:15 p.m. May 16. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

ROEDER RD., 700 block, 5 p.m. May 17 to 8:45 a.m. May 18. Property was stolen from a real estate office entered by force.

TECH RD., 11800 block, April 30 to 10 a.m. May 17. Property was stolen from a business entered by force.

TYNEWICK TERR., 14600 block, May 10. A Silver Spring man, 19, was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and malicious destruction of property in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

VENICE DR., 900 block, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 16. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

SECOND AVE., 8700 block, May 17. A man, 55, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of fourth-degree burglary, two counts of theft under $500, one count of theft over $500, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

SECOND AVE., 8700 block, 6 p.m. May 14 to 4 p.m. May 15. Property was stolen from an unlocked residential shed.

16TH ST., 8500 block, 11 p.m. May 3 to 4 a.m. May 4. A gym was broken into. Nothing was reported missing.

DOVER RD., 400 block, 4:30 p.m. May 18. An in-dash flip-up radio, two stereo speakers, spark plugs and spark plug wires were stolen from a vehicle.

EDMONSTON DR., 300 block, 6 a.m. May 14 to 8 p.m. May 19. Four tires and four wheel rims were stolen from the back yard of a residence.

ELMCROFT BLVD., 400 block, 12:01 a.m. May 16. Cash was stolen from a bank account.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1700 block, 8:30 to 10 a.m. May 20. A camera cell phone was stolen from a retail store.

SPAATZ PL., 5900 block, May 4 to May 18. A CD changer was stolen from a residence.

WESTMORE RD., 7400 block, 10 p.m. May 14 to 8 a.m. May 15. A car engine and radiator were stolen out of a vehicle.

WOOTTON PKWY., 2100 block, 1:20 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. May 18. A music player and its carrying case were stolen from a classroom.

ROBBERIES

WESTMORELAND AND WALNUT AVENUES, 9:09 p.m., May 25. A man grabbed a woman walking her dog, displayed a knife and demanded cash. When she said she had no money, he threatened a sexual assault. She broke free and fled. No injuries were reported.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CARROLL AVE., 7600 block, 6:45 p.m. May 25 to 7:30 a.m. May 26. A 1995 Honda Accord was stolen.

HOLLY AVE., 7500 block, 10:40 p.m. May 25. Two male youths were charged with second-degree burglary, theft under $500, trespassing and possession of burglary tools in connection with an incident at this location.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

HOUSTON AVE., 600 block, 1:45 p.m. May 19 to 7:30 a.m. May 20. A 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle was stolen.
