Driving Hot Spots

Here is a selection of road advisories. Weather and equipment availability can affect timing.

1. Colesville Road

Right northbound lane closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays between Noyes Drive and Sligo Creek Parkway.

2. Old Georgetown Road

Single-lane closures in both directions 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays between the Capital Beltway and Beech Avenue.

3. Muncaster Mill Road

Road closed in both directions 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. weekdays beginning June 16 between Sweetbirch Drive and Norbeck Road for 10 weeks.

4. University Boulevard

Right westbound lane closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays between Riggs Road and New Hampshire Avenue.

5. Capital Beltway (outer loop)

Right lane closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays between St. Barnabas Road and Branch Avenue.

6. Capital Beltway (inner loop)

Exit ramps to Route 1 and Church Street will be closed 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday and Monday. A detour will be in place.

7. Capital Beltway (outer loop)

Two left lanes closed 9 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday from Interstate 295 to Route 210.

8. Capital Beltway (inner loop)

Two left lanes closed 9 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday from Livingston Road to Route 210.

9. Interstate 295 South

Right lane closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday from the D.C.-Prince George's County line to the Capital Beltway.

10. Route 15

Road closed in both directions 8 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday near Route 55 in Haymarket.

11. Springfield interchange

Some lanes closed in both directions 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Friday.

12. Nebraska Avenue NW

Two westbound lanes closed between 41st Street and Tenley Circle for two months.

13. Massachusetts Avenue NW

Two westbound lanes closed Monday through Wednesday and two eastbound lanes closed Thursday through next Sunday under Thomas Circle.

Transit Update

Metro

Metro will open the College Park parking structure on the Green Line on June 25.
