SEXUAL ASSAULTS

PRESTON RD., 1600 block, 5:15 to 5:22 a.m. May 30. A male cyclist accosted a female pedestrian, 51, forced her into bushes and attempted to sexually assault her. She broke away, and the male fled on the bicycle. The female notified police, and a male, 22, was arrested on Four Mile Road and charged with attempted rape. The female was treated at a hospital.

ASSAULTS

MOUNT VERNON AVE., 3800 block, 11:52 a.m. May 29. A male stabbed a male pedestrian, 20, in the back with a knife. Police and a medic unit responded, and the pedestrian was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital. An Alexandria male, 37, was charged with felonious assault.

NORTH WASHINGTON STREET AND BASHFORD LANE, 4:57 to 5:12 p.m. May 28. Police investigated a report of a naked man at the above location and found him near West Abingdon Drive. The male threw a bottle at two officers, kicked others and attempted to bite an officer when they attempted to take him into custody. He was handcuffed, then taken to a hospital, where he was treated

for scrapes. No injuries were reported

for the officers. The male was later

released and charged with assaulting an

officer.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

COLUMBUS ST. N., 200 block, 12:12 p.m. May 27. A male exposed himself to a female pedestrian, 50, who notified police. A boy, 16, was located and charged with indecent exposure.

ROBBERIES

GLEBE RD. W., 1000 block, 12:45 a.m. May 25. Four males assaulted a man, 35, and robbed him of a wallet. The man was taken to a hospital, treated and released.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ABINGDON DR. W., 1800 block, 5 p.m. May 22 to 7:45 p.m. May 29. A bicycle was stolen from the storage area of a residence.

DAWES AVE., 4800 block, 9 a.m. May 26 to 10 p.m. May 30. Jewelry and a set of keys were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a balcony door.

DAWES AVE., 5100 block, 3:57 p.m. May 29. A business was entered by forcing a front door and several offices were ransacked. Nothing was reported missing.

DAWES AVE., 5100 block, 4 p.m. May 28 to 2:30 p.m. May 29. A business was entered by forcing a front door and several offices were ransacked. Nothing was reported missing.

DAWES AVE., 5200 block, 8:30 p.m. May 27 to 9:05 a.m. May 31. Cash was stolen from a business entered by breaking a window.

VAN DORN ST. S., 1 to 100 block, 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. May 31. A residence was entered by forcing a sliding glass door. Nothing was reported missing.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

FILLMORE AVE., 5000 block, 4:30 p.m. May 26 to 8:15 p.m. May 30. A red 2001 Yamaha R600 motorcycle was stolen.

FILLMORE AVE., 5000 block, 8:30 p.m. May 30 to 9:36 a.m. May 31. A black 1993 Honda Civic was stolen.

MASON AVE. E., 300 block, 7:30 p.m. May 25 to 11 a.m. May 26. A gray 2001 Toyota Camry was stolen.

ROBBERIES

COLUMBIA PIKE, 1800 block, 12:49 a.m. May 24. A gunman robbed a man of cash in the rear parking lot of a condominium complex.

EADS ST. S., 1500 block, 7 p.m. May 30. Three males robbed a man of a wallet at gunpoint. A District male, 19, and another male were charged with armed robbery.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CLEVELAND ST. S., 2700 block, 10:35 a.m. to 2:09 p.m. June 1. Tools were stolen from a residence.

EADS ST. S., 1400 block, 7 p.m. May 25. A resident left her apartment unlocked, and when another resident arrived home, she found male inside. The intruder left after he was confronted. An empty purse was missing.

GLEBE RD. N., 1500 block, 10:30 a.m. May 28 to 6 p.m. May 29. Cash and a digital video recorder were stolen from a church entered by breaking a door.

TAFT ST. N., 1400 block, 4:50 p.m. May 29 to 2 a.m. May 30. Cash was stolen from a business.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

KENMORE ST. N., 2400 block. A silver Toyota Tacoma was stolen.

MONROE ST. N., 2004 bloc. A green 1992 BMW 735IL was stolen.

PIEDMONT ST. N., 200 block. A white 1991 Ford F150 was stolen.

RANDOLPH ST. N., 800 block. A green 1999 Honda Accord was stolen.

STAFFORD ST. N., 3000 block. A gray 1996 Chrysler van was stolen.

20TH ST. N., 3300 block. A blue 1994 Toyota Corolla was stolen.

31ST ST. S., 4400 block. A red 1997 Dodge Dakota was stolen.
