THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BRADFORD ST., 3200 block, 9:30 to 11 a.m. May 26. Jewelry and a cell phone were stolen from a house.

CATALPA CT., 15000 block, 4:40 a.m. May 30. A wallet was stolen from a car at a house.

DOWNEY CT., 14800 block, 2 to 6 a.m. May 22. Stereo equipment and sunglasses were stolen from a car at a house.

NASCOBY LANE, 13400 block, 2 to 8 p.m. May 27. Cash, jewelry and medication were stolen from a house entered by breaking a window.

NASSAU DR., 13300 block, 10:30 p.m. May 26. A woman entered a house through a sliding glass door and fled after seeing an occupant. Nothing was reported missing.

QUATE LANE, 6:30 p.m. May 26 to 7 a.m. May 27. Tools were stolen from a construction trailer entered by forcing a lock.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

FILARETE ST., 14400 block, noon May 22 to 6:24 p.m. May 27. A 1995 black Nissan Altima was stolen from a house.

MAHONEY DR., 13700 block, midnight May 28 to 8 a.m. May 29. A 2001 yellow Suzuki motorcycle was stolen from a house.

OAKLAWN LANE, 6000 block, 5 p.m. May 24 to 8:30 a.m. May 25. An unlocked blue Ford Expedition was stolen after it was left with the ignition key inside.

WESTWAY LANE, 14200 block, 8 p.m. May 28 to 5 a.m. May 29. A 2004 silver Yamaha motorcycle was stolen from a house.

Dumfries Area

HOMICIDE

MAIN ST., 17792, 9:30 a.m. May 28. Derrick James, 31, of Dumfries was fatally shot at his barbershop during an argument. A Dumfries man, 47, was arrested.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

ISLIP LOOP, 17000 block, 12:14 a.m. June 1. A man pushed a woman, 19, as she got out of a car in a parking lot and demanded cash. He sexually assaulted her and robbed her of a purse.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

AVENAL LANE, 17700 block, 11:30 p.m. May 27 to 8:05 a.m. May 28. Tires were stolen from a vehicle at a house.

DETTINGEN PL., 2700 block, 7:35 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. May 27. Stereo equipment and jewelry were stolen from a house entered by breaking a window.

HYACINTH PL., 15200 block, 4 p.m. May 24 to 12:30 p.m. May 27. Two bicycles were stolen from a house.

JASPER HILL CT., 3200 block, 11 p.m. May 26 to 7:30 a.m. May 27. An attempt was made to enter a house by forcing a door.

MYRTLEWOOD DR., 2900 block, 3 p.m. May 26 to 2:15 p.m. May 28. Stereo equipment and other property were stolen from a car at a house.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

COLLINGHAM PL., 14500 block, 4 p.m. May 24 to 6:30 a.m. May 25. Building materials were stolen from a truck at a construction site. The vehicle was entered by breaking a window.

SHOAL CREEK DR., 5600 block, 9:30 p.m. May 20 to 2 p.m. May 25. Jewelry, a camera, a computer and sunglasses were stolen from an open garage.

ASSAULTS

MOHICAN RD. AND STONEFORD DR., 4:30 p.m. May 31. A boy, 15, was shot in the back with a BB gun at a playground.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

DEEPFORD DR., 2500 block, 11 p.m. May 25 to 6 a.m. May 26. A garage door opener was stolen from a garage at a house.

DEEPFORD DR., 2700 block, 1 to 7 a.m. May 31. CDs, cigarettes, a baby seat and other property were stolen from two unlocked vehicles at a house.

TACKETTS MILL DR., 2200 block, 4:50 p.m. May 26 to 8:35 a.m. May 27. Cash was stolen from a business.

ROBBERIES

PORTSMOUTH AND URBANNA RDS., 12:30 a.m. May 27. Two men punched a pedestrian, 22, and he fell. The men robbed him of a wallet and jewelry. A man, 18, of no fixed address was arrested.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ASHLAND AVE., 8000 block, 11:30 p.m. May 29. Clothing was stolen from a laundry room at an apartment building.

CENTREVILLE RD., 7200 block, 10 a.m. May 24 to 2:38 p.m. May 26. Three tires were stolen from a business.

CORNWELL DR., 12100 block, 8 p.m. May 27 to 9 a.m. May 28. Thirty-five chickens were stolen from a house.

HIRAM CT., 10900 block, 2 to 4 p.m. May 27. A motorcycle was stolen from a porch at a house. It was recovered.

LOCHMERE DR., 6800 block, 2 to 7 a.m. May 26. Four wheels were stolen from a sport-utility vehicle at a house.

MOUNTWOOD DR., 5:30 p.m. May 25 to 7 a.m. May 26. A cement mixer secured with a chain was stolen from a construction site. A lock on the chain was cut.

NORFOLK ST., 9600 block, noon May 13 to 3 p.m. May 16. A gun was stolen from a house.

SUDLEY RD., 7800 block, 10:50 to 11:46 a.m. May 30. Stereo equipment and a cell phone were stolen from a car at a business.

SUDLEY RD., 8300 block, 11 p.m. May 23 to 6:30 a.m. May 24. Four wheels were stolen from a car at a grocery store.

THREE OTTERS PL., 15500 block, 3 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. May 29. Cash and stereo equipment were stolen from an unlocked car at a house.

THURSTON LANE, 7500 block, 8 p.m. May 23 to 6:30 a.m. May 24. A generator was stolen from a van at a house.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

CROSSING PL., 14300 block, 9:30 p.m. May 28. A man entered a motel room and sexually assaulted a girl, 16. A Woodbridge man, 21, was arrested.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ALISON ST., 13300 block, 10 a.m. May 22 to 1 p.m. May 24. Three motor scooters were stolen from a shed at a house entered by forcing a door lock.

GILES ST., 14000 block, 4:30 p.m. May 27 to 4 p.m. May 30. A gun, ammunition and cash were stolen from a house.

GOLANSKY BLVD., 3100 block, 4:30 p.m. May 24 to 7 a.m. May 25. Two offices were entered by forcing interior doors. CDs were stolen from one office, and the other office was ransacked.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY., 13700 block, 2:02 a.m. May 30. A man attempted to enter an occupied house by breaking a window. Police were called, and a Woodbridge man, 18, was arrested.

JENNINGS ST., 2000 block, 2 to 6 a.m. May 24. Four wheels were stolen from a car at a house.

KENTUCKY AVE., 1500 block, 9 p.m. May 24 to 6 a.m. May 25. CDs, stereo equipment and a DVD player were stolen from a car at a house. The vehicle was entered by cutting its convertible top.

LONGVIEW DR., 1300 block, 2 a.m. May 24 to 10 a.m. May 28. Cash was stolen from a house.

OLD POST TER., 1800 block, 11 p.m. May 27 to 10 a.m. May 28. A house was entered by breaking a window. Nothing was reported missing.

OLD POST TER., 1800 block, 9:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. May 27. Computer equipment and tools were stolen from a house entered by breaking a sliding glass door.

PRINCE WILLIAM PKWY., 2400 block, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 28. Cash was stolen from a wallet in a restaurant.

SUGAR HILL DR., 1700 block, 6 p.m. May 16 to 4 p.m. May 27. Two bicycles were stolen from a house.
