Annapolis Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ALMOND DR., 1300 block, midnight May 18. Cash was taken from a residence entered through the rear of the home.

QUAKER WAY, 2000 block, midnight May 29. A residence was entered by force.

Baltimore Area

ROBBERIES

RITCHIE HWY., 5700 block, 2:40 p.m. June 3. Three males robbed a fast-food restaurant of cash. One of the males pointed a gun at a manager, who handed over the contents of two registers and a safe. The robbers fled on Vernon Avenue toward Furnace Branch Road.

TOWNSEND AVE. AREA, 1:23 a.m., June 4. A man was accosted by two males in an alley. One male aimed a gun at his leg while the other reached into the man's pocket and grabbed his cell phone. When the victim reached for the handgun, it fired and a bullet struck him in the right knee.

WEST MEADOW RD., 100 block, 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. June 1. Alcohol and televisions were stolen from a residence entered through a rear window.

CHURCH ST., 100 block, 4 p.m. May 27 to noon May 29. Lawn equipment was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked door.

CHURCH ST., 100 block, midnight May 26 to midnight May 31. Lawn equipment was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a front door.

DORIS AVE., 300 block, 9:30 p.m. May 31 to 12:40 p.m. June 1. A purse was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked rear window.

SOUTHERLY RD., 200 block, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 31. Property was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a door.

SECOND AVE., 100 block, 8 a.m. May 25 to 11 a.m. May 30. Equipment was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a door.

CLAIBORNE RD., 100 block, 6 p.m. May 27 to 3 p.m. June 1. Tools were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked front door.

HOLLY RD., 200 block, 2:17 p.m. May 31. Property was stolen from a residence entered by opening a door with a key.

LAUREL RD., 1800 block, 8:43 p.m. June 1. A residence was entered by forcing a basement door. Nothing was reported missing.

Glen Burnie Area

ROBBERIES

HOSPITAL DR., 300 block, 8:41 p.m. June 8. Police met with a 19-year-old Annapolis man in a hospital emergency room. The man had been shot in the right thigh while walking in the area of the Villages of Marley Station and was unable to give a description of the assailant.

WARWICKSHIRE LANE, 100 block, 12:34 a.m. June 9. Two males held knives to the neck and back of a Baltimore man as he was using his cell phone and demanded that he give them everything he had. The man gave the males cash and the phone, and the two robbers fled on foot.

BABY BAER CT., 1500 block, noon Jan. 14 to 12:20 p.m. June 4. Cash was stolen from a residence entered through an upper door.

CAYER DR., 1000 block, 9:56 a.m. May 26 to 3:30 p.m. May 28. Televisions were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked rear door.

GREENWAY RD., 200 block, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 31. An attempt was made to enter a residence through a window.

MARGATE DR., 200 block, 9:15 a.m. May 27 to 8:30 p.m. May 29. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered through a side window.

SCOTT AVE., 100 block. 8 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. May 31. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered through a rear window.

WELLS AVE., 1-100 block, 8:30 p.m. May 27 to 3 p.m. May 30. Auto parts were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked door.

SECOND AVE., 200 block, 7 p.m. May 26 to noon May 31. A residence was entered by cutting a door lock.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

RITCHIE HWY., 7900 block, 2:11 p.m. June 6. A female noticed that three females traveling in a van were observing her when she parked her car outside a mall. The three got out of the van and followed her as she approached the mall on foot, and one grabbed her purse containing her keys. The robbers then fled into the parking lot. When the female returned to the parking lot, she discovered that her car was missing.

ANNAWON CT., 1900 block, noon June 1 to 9:10 p.m. June 2. A vehicle was stolen from a residence entered through a rear window.

Jessup Area

HOMICIDES

CLARK RD.,7800 block, 4:10 a.m. June 4. Police found Michael Patrick Conway, 38, dead in a residence with what appeared to be stab wounds to the upper torso. A 46-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. An autopsy was pending.

Laurel Area

ROBBERIES

FORT MEADE RD., 3600 block, 3:56 p.m. June 3. A man entered a business requesting information, then demanded money from a female employee while implying that he had a gun. The employee gave him the store's money and her own.

EASTON ST., 200 block, 8 p.m. May 27 to 4:10 p.m. May 31. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a rear window.

CAMP MEADE RD., 400 block, 12:15 a.m. June 4. A man implied he was armed with a weapon and took cash from a gas station.

EVELYN AVE., 700 block, 1 to 9 p.m. May 30. Firearms and medication were stolen from a residence entered through a rear door.

LAKE FRONT DR., 1-100 block, midnight May 30 to midnight June 3. Jewelry, radio equipment and cash were stolen from a residence entered through a front window.

MANSION RD., 200 block, May 28. A business was entered by forcing a front door. Nothing was reported missing.

MAPLE RD., 600 block, 8 p.m. May 28 to 8 a.m. May 29. Lawn equipment and other property were stolen from a residence entered by cutting a door lock.

MARBEN RD., 300 block, 9 p.m. May 30 to 10 a.m. May 31. Cash and identification forms were stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

MOUNTAIN RD., 4700 block, 3:16 a.m. June 6. A male newspaper distributor seated in the back of his van was robbed of cash by a male at gunpoint. The robber fled on foot into woods.

DONALD AVE., 1300 block, 11:30 a.m. May 30 to 11:15 a.m. June 1. A residence was entered by forcing a front door. Nothing was reported missing.

ATTEMPTED HOMICIDES

BAY FRONT DR., 7000 block, May 29. During an argument, a man punched, kicked and choked a male relative until he passed out, then threatened several other people when they tried to break up the fight. The relative was treated at a hospital. A 19-year-old Annapolis man was arrested and charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault and other related charges.

ASSAULTS

FOREST DR,, 2100 block, June 5. During an argument, a person struck a male in the head with a beer bottle and fled. The male was taken to a hospital. The case was under investigation.

OLD SOLOMONS ISLAND RD., June 9. During an argument, a person threw a phone at a male co-worker, striking him in the face. The male suffered a cut above his left eye and was treated at a hospital.

ROBBERIES

BAY RIDGE RD., 900 block, June 9. Several juveniles attempted to steal fireworks from a grocery store and were detained by store security personnel. They were charged with theft and released to their parents.

BOXWOOD RD., 200 block, 3:31 a.m. June 4. A person punched a male in the face, knocked him down and robbed him of cash and other property. No medical treatment for the male was reported.

BROOK CT., 800 block, June 7. Two males, one armed with a gun, robbed a cabdriver of cash and fled on foot. Police recovered some of the cash during a search of the area.

CHESAPEAKE AVENUE AND SIXTH STREET, June 2. A male snatched a female's purse while she was waiting at a bus stop.

MADISON ST., 1100 block, June 4. Several people attempted to rob a pizza delivery driver. No weapon was shown, and no injuries were reported.

WEST ST., 2000 block, June 5. As a motorist sat in his car in a parking lot, a male reached inside and snatched several items, then fled on foot. Police recovered most of the items during a search of the area.

CHERRY GROVE RD. S., 500 block, June 7. A cell phone was stolen from a business.

CHESAPEAKE AVE., 800 block, June 7. Lawn equipment was stolen from a storage shed behind a residence. The shed was entered by force.

DEWEY DR., 300 block, June 7. Tools were stolen from a residence and recovered in the back yard.

KELLY CT., 1-100 block, June 5. A lawn mower was stolen from a shed at a residence.

MCKINDREE AVE., 200 block, June 4. During a yard sale at a residence, cash was stolen from a purse in a bedroom.

OLD SOLOMONS ISLAND RD., 200 block, June 3. Store security personnel took a woman into custody after she concealed merchandise and walked out of the store. A 26-year-old Annapolis woman was arrested and charged with theft. The merchandise was recovered.

PRIMROSE RD., 1300 block, June 6. A briefcase was stolen from a vehicle when the owner stepped away briefly.
