BACKLICK RD., 5700 block, 10 p.m. June 3. A man in a parking lot knocked down a 19-year-old woman, took her purse, and fled in a car. No injuries were reported.

BARRY ROAD, 3:45 p.m. June 3. Three men assaulted and robbed a 20-year-old male pedestrian, then fled on foot. The victim was treated at a hospital.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

LEESBURG PIKE, 5500 block, 1 to 6 p.m. May 28. A man inappropriately touched a 6-year-old girl in a toy store. He attempted to persuade her to walk with him before her babysitter intervened.

WASHINGTON DR., 3400 block, 9:30 p.m. June 5. A group of men groped and assaulted a 40-year-old woman standing with some friends. A 32-year-old male friend of the victim who intervened was stabbed in the upper body. A 23-year-old Falls Church man was charged with malicious wounding, sexual battery and simple assault. The male victim was treated at a hospital. The female victim reportedly did not need medical treatment.

ROBBERIES

LITTLE RIVER TPK., 6200 block, 3:18 a.m. June 5. A gunman robbed a 49-year-old man of cash, then fled in a vehicle. No injuries were reported.

SEVEN CORNERS CENTER, 6200 block. Two men walked up to a 45-year-old female pedestrian and one grabbed her necklace while the other took other property. No injuries were reported.

TISWELL DR., 8100 block, 1 p.m. June 2. A man cleaning carpets in a residence exposed himself and attacked a 69-year-old woman. A 36-year-old Annandale area man was charged with sexual assault, simple assault and indecent exposure.

ROBBERIES

LOCKHEED BLVD., 3300 block, midnight June 5. A man demanded cash from a male pedestrian, then assaulted him and took his wallet.

VILLAGE DR., 8600 block, June 3. Four teenagers assaulted two male pedestrians, ages 14 and 15, and robbed them of cash. The victims reportedly did not need medical attention.

CHAIN BRIDGE RD., 4100 block, 2 p.m. June 3. A woman had a meal in a restaurant, then said she had no money. A 49-year-old Arlington woman was charged with defrauding an innkeeper.

LEE HWY., 10600 block, June 3 to June 6. License plates were stolen from a company vehicle parked at a business.

LEE HWY., 10600 block, June 4 to June 5. Several items were stolen from a high school.

MAIN ST., 9400 block, 4:42 p.m. June 5. Merchandise was placed in a cooler and taken from a business.

MAIN ST., 9500 block, June 1 to June 2. Cash was stolen from a vending machine in a store.

MAIN ST., 10300 block, 10 p.m. June 4. Security personnel saw two women remove price tags from merchandise and conceal it in bags. They stopped the women as they left the store. An 18-year-old Fairfax woman and an 18-year-old Fairfax Station woman were charged with grand theft.

MAIN ST., 10300 block, 3:57 p.m. June 7. Security personnel stopped a man attempting to leave a store with merchandise. A 70-year-old Maryland man was charged with theft.

MAIN ST., 11200 block, 3 a.m. June 4. Gas was stolen from a service station.

OAKWOOD DR., 10900 block, 10 a.m. to 7:36 p.m. June 6. Two bicycles were stolen from a fenced back yard of a residence.

OLD LEE HWY., 3200 block, 11:35 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 4. A wallet was stolen from a customer while she shopped in a business.

OLD PICKETT RD., 3200 block, 9:15 p.m. June 6. An employee found a male intruder in a fenced lot of a business. When he asked the intruder what he was doing, the man crawled under the fence and fled in a vehicle.

WHITEHEAD ST., 10400 block, June 3 to June 4. A lawn ornament in front of a residence was stolen. It was recovered across the street.

VANDALISM

JAMES SWART CIR., 11200 block, June 4 to June 5. A window of a vehicle parked at a business was broken.

NORTH STREET AND UNIVERSITY DRIVE, 11:39 p.m. June 3. A passenger in a vehicle involved in an accident shouted and cursed at an investigating police officer and was placed under arrest on suspicion of public drunkenness. Once inside the police vehicle, he kicked out a window and bent a door frame. A 43-year-old Fairfax man was charged with destruction of city property, obstruction of justice and public drunkenness.

WEST DR., 10700 block, 1 to 1:30 a.m. June 5. The top of a convertible in front of a residence was slashed.

TIMBER LANE, 400 block, 10 p.m. June 1 to 5 a.m. June 2. A Panasonic stereo system was stolen from a residence during a party.

VIRGINIA AVE. S., 100 block, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 3. A vacant residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

VANDALISM

COLUMBIA ST. W., 200 block, 7:30 p.m. June 3 to 1:20 p.m. June 4. A front tire of a vehicle was flattened.

WASHINGTON ST. N., 300 block, 1:32 p.m. June 3. Graffiti was written on an exterior door of a church.

ASSAULTS

ALABAMA DR., 1200 block, 10:26 p.m. June 4. A man pushed an acquaintance, reportedly causing minor injuries. A 28-year-old Herndon man was charged with assault.

CASPER DR., 1100 block, 1:01 a.m. June 3. A person threw mirrors at a male acquaintance. No injuries were reported.

JENNY ANN CT., 700 block, 12:28 p.m. June 4. A person grabbed an acquaintance. No injuries were reported.

LEXUS WAY, 1000 block, 2:20 p.m. May 27. A 17-year-old Herndon male was arrested in connection with an incident in which a person showed a knife during an altercation. The youth allegedly concealed a machete in his pants and provided fraudulent identification during an interview with police. He was charged with possession of a concealed weapon and identity fraud.

PALMER DRIVE AND DOGWOOD COURT, 9:22 p.m. June 5. A male was struck several times and cut on the leg during an altercation with several other people.

CRESTVIEW DR., 1100 block, 9:54 a.m. June 1. Two six-packs of beer were stolen.
