ED BACH, Atholton, Sr.
Wherever he played -- on the pitcher's mound, in the batter's box or in center field -- the All-Met left-hander made his presence felt. As a pitcher, Bach finished 6-2 with a 0.83 ERA and 93 strikeouts in 59 innings. At the plate, he hit .365 with a .587 slugging percentage and a .521 on-base percentage. He drove in 14 runs, scored a team-high 21 runs and hit three home runs. As a fielder, he made no errors in 20 games; his team finished 13-7. He will play for the University of Maryland Baltimore County next season.
"Everything we asked from Ed this season, he gave us," said Coach Kevin Kelly. "He's the kind of player that you just don't get very often."

RICK LLOYD, River Hill
Ninth-year coach guided the Hawks to a second-place finish in the county standings before falling in the 3A East Region final to Wilde Lake, 6-5. The Hawks, who had graduated six starters off last year's team, opened the season 6-4 but closed the season by winning nine of their final 11 games to finish 15-6, one game behind first-place Mount Hebron.
Lloyd began the program in 1996 and has turned the Hawks into one of the county's most consistent and successful teams. In the past five seasons, he has led the Hawks to a state tournament appearance (2000), a county title (2003) and two appearances in the region final (2003, 2005).
ALEX BECHTA, Centennial, Soph.: Center fielder hit .454 with 24 runs scored and 17 RBI to lead the Eagles to the semifinals of the 3A East Region tournament.
DEREK CHELL, Mount Hebron, Sr.: Shortstop hit .426 with an on-base percentage of .508 and a slugging percentage of .704. He scored 17 runs, drove in 11 and stole 10 bases for the county champions.
TONY CIPRO, Mount Hebron, Sr.: Center fielder hit .365 with a .500 on-base percentage and .635 slugging percentage. He scored a team-high 19 runs and drove in 14.
DAVID GROSSMAN, Atholton, Sr.: First baseman hit .327 with a .557 on-base percentage and a .615 slugging percentage to go along with 16 runs scored and 14 RBI.
CHARLEY KLINE, River Hill, Sr.: Right-hander went 7-2 with a 2.21 ERA and struck out 55 batters in 50 innings. Also was the winning pitcher in both of his team's victories in the 3A East Region tournament.
STEVIE LOMBARDOZZI, Atholton, Soph.: Shortstop hit .409 with a .538 on-base percentage to go with 19 runs scored and a fielding percentage of .952; helped lead his team to a record of 13-7.
GREG MERSON, Reservoir, Sr.: Second baseman hit .434 with a .565 on-base percentage. He also scored 13 runs and had 14 RBI.
DERRICK NASON, Reservoir, Sr.: Pitcher went 7-1 with a 0.90 ERA to go along with 30 strikeouts in 531/3 innings. He also hit .283 with an on-base percentage of .393.
TYLER O'NEILL, Oakland Mills, Sr.: Outfielder hit .500 to lead his team to the quarterfinals of the 1A South Region tournament.
MICHAEL RICHARDSON, Glenelg, Sr.: Hit .470 with 15 RBI and 9 doubles and was the team's best defensive player, seeing time at left field and shortstop.
DAN SHILLINGBURG, Centennial, Sr.: Catcher was .472 with 16 RBI to lead the Eagles to the semifinals of the 3A East Region tournament. Will play for Maryland.
CHARLES SWENSON, Mount Hebron, Jr.: Right-hander went 3-1 with 42 strikeouts in 40 innings but was even better at the plate, where he led the team in batting average (.456), RBI (19) and doubles (6).
JAY TUREN, River Hill, Sr.: Second baseman hit .436 with 20 runs scored and 6 RBI to lead the Hawks to a tie for second place in the county standings.
DAVID WALTERS, River Hill, Sr.: Right-hander went 6-2 with a 1.72 ERA with 48 strikeouts in 56 innings. He also led the Hawks in batting average (.507), hits (35), runs scored (28), RBI (24) and doubles (10).
