Eight-time All-Met capped her stellar career with national-best times in the 800 (2 minutes 5.41 seconds) and the 3,200 (10:16.03); her second consecutive Penn Relays championship in the mile; state championships in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200; and a team state title. Will run for the University of Tennessee.

Loudoun Valley

For the second straight year, his Vikings had the deepest girls' team in the Dulles District, and they dominated at the district meet to win a championship. Loudoun Valley scored 1241/2 points, well ahead of Stone Bridge's 86. Vikings were the top finisher among Loudoun County teams at the Region II meet, capturing fifth.

Natalie Baird, Park View, Fr. -- The best discus thrower among all girls in Virginia. State-title-winning throw of 139 feet 11 inches set a Group AA record.

Blair Brown, Loudoun Valley, Jr. -- All-Met player of the year for volleyball was again a standout in track and field as the area's best high jumper. Finished second in the state with a mark of 5-2.

Rachael Clark, Liberty, Sr. -- Was the Washington area's top shot putter, capturing the AA championship. Her season best was a throw of 42-8 to win the Region II championship.

Myraida Davis, Liberty, Soph. -- Was the Northwestern District champion in the 100 and took second in the 100 at the Region II meet. Was eighth in the district in the 200.

Dominique Hull, Liberty, Sr. -- At the Region II and AA state meets, finished a close second behind Baird in the discus, including a season best of 134-9 at the AA meet. Was fourth in the state in the shot put.

Renee Lott, Fauquier, Sr. -- Won the region title in the 400 and was runner-up in the event at the state meet. Was region runner-up in the 200 and sixth in the state.

Dania Moore, Fauquier, Soph. -- Northwestern District champion in the 200 was third in the district in the 100. Placed fourth in Region II in the 100 and third in the 200.

Jessica Nauta, Loudoun Valley, Sr. -- Multi-event standout was crucial to the Vikings' success at the district meet, winning the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Was second in Region II in the 300 hurdles.

Lindsey Noe, Liberty, Fr. -- Hurdling standout for the Eagles in her first year. Was the Northwestern District runner-up in the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles and sixth in Region II in the 100 hurdles.

Jennifer Weatherly, Dominion, Fr. -- Made a stellar freshman debut, sweeping the 100 and 200 at the Dulles District and Region II meets. Was seventh in both events at states.
