UCLA's Cecilia Narrett had two hard hit singles, and Samantha Wilson went 3 for 3 in a league in which no scores are recorded. For Virginia, Emily Turner was 3 for 4. UCLA's Rachel Fishman played solid at first base. Virginia's pitcher Emily Kader, and first baseman Tyler Merritt played error-free ball and recorded all three outs in one inning.

Georgia Tech vs. Arizona

Georgia Tech's Julia Komons had two hits and scored once, and Shaina Segal and Sophia Komons contributed four hits each. Renee Hoppers hit a line drive off the center field fence. Arizona's Evie Buelman, Erica Purnell and Emily Lary each had two hits.

UCLA's Patricia Carmona, Claire Huston and Alyce Bernstein had base hits. Georgia Tech's Emily Hall made a catch and then threw to Emily Berson at first for a double play. Pitcher Amanda Hendrix threw two strikeouts in a scoreless inning.

Emily Sonni pitched four strong innings, giving up only one run. Amy Adams made two excellent plays at first base, and Kelly Bruner made a great fly ball catch at second base. For Georgia Tech, Rachel Reinhardt hit 2 for 2 and made a nice line drive catch in center field. Arielle Abrams showed outstanding speed and hustle on the base paths and did an excellent job behind the plate.

In a first-round playoff game, UNC players stole home seven times. Kelsey Prucha-Mitchell was 3 for 3 at the plate, Emily Dow doubled, and Janie Szybist had two hits. Pitchers Kathy Thornton and Chelsea Croft recorded six strikeouts. For Washington, Hannah Grabenstein and Meg Harley had nice hits, and Becky Randel and Katie Teleky scored runs.

In a semifinal game, Washington pitchers Katie Teleky and Becky Randel recorded six and four strikeouts, respectively. Teleky and Meg Harley led the Washington offense. For UNC, Zoe Ledbetter, Chelsea Croft and Martese Hoffman had nice hits, and Croft and Kathy Thornton combined for seven strikeouts.

The third place game had five lead changes before UNC scored two runs in the bottom of the final inning. UNC's Martese Hoffman capped a 4-for-4 day with a single to drive in the tying run before Emily Dow's fourth hit of the day scored Kathy Thornton for the winning run. Mina Park smashed a double, and Janie Szybist made two excellent catches for UNC. For Maryland, Gretchen Heymann pitched three excellent innings. Emily Battinelli had two hits and made an outstanding catch in deep center. Caitlyn Tufts pitched two fine innings, and Hillary Wilk had a big RBI hit.

Georgia Tech

In the championship game, Georgia Tech catchers Suzzane Lassise and Bruke Mikesell tagged out runners stealing home. Jessica Valenstein and Maria Sieron made big defensive plays. Mary McClean had an RBI hit. For Washington, pitchers Becky Randle and Chelsea Kotlas had nice outings. Meg Harley and catcher Erin Ward played strong defense.
